Tbh when I picture what uncle ben would be like in reference to aunt may and the mcu my mind goes to mark (played by jason bateman) in Juno (aside from the shitty “I basically agreed to all these relationship responsibilities and then ended up not wanting to grow up and face them at all so I’m leaving you” thing). And I could honestly see Jason Bateman as a Mark-like uncle ben. I could see him being a musician, sharing his old records with Peter, sharing comic books with him, and introducing him to old movies, including the Star Wars films Peter now loves so much. I see him and May being a young, hip couple without a lot of responsibilities, who cared deeply about Peter, and stepped up to parent him when he needed them. I see them initially struggling a lot, not knowing what to do, but giving all of themselves to being there for Peter entirely.

to top it all, his parents are scientists, inventors!! image growing up watching your parents create toys for u, and little Danny playing to be like them (as a community we even overuse the “danny wanted to fix the portal”)

and before he notices it, he starts using science in his ghost fights, using chemistry to calculate the exact temperature to freeze things so he doesn’t overwork himself, using physics so he can avoid throwing ghost too hard against buildings so he doesn’t destroy them, or calculating the angle so he doesn’t hit buildings at all

and having great grades in science, as far as i remember when Danny is show struggling in school is with Lancer, the literature teacher, getting his physics degree was way more easy than passing school, he also gets a lot of practice in his fights so he doesn’t even need to study for his tests
