Under the threat of occupation in Gaza, displacement has become a tragic part of our daily lives. My family and I have had to leave our home, tents, and displacement camps several times in search of safety. Every time, we carry as much of our simple belongings as we can, and leave behind memories, homes, and tents that we can no longer return to. Life in constant displacement is not just a change of place; It is a state of constant fear, distraction, and loss of a sense of stability. We move from place to place, not knowing when or if we can return to our home, or if there will still be a home to return to. Every time we leave we face the same harsh scenes: destroyed streets, people displaced and the eyes filled with sadness and pain of our neighbors and friends who face the same fate. It is an endless nightmare, where all our hopes of finding safety are shattered.
