This is where we keep the recipes, comfort, life advice, family questions, and whatever Ash insists is “technically food.”

Pull up a chair. Ask something silly, serious, hungry, tired, messy, or honest. We’ll feed you, answer what we can, and gently remind you that coffee alone is not a meal.

Ash: Unless it has whipped cream.

Foxy: No.

Amy: “Need is not a moral failure.

A body has limits. A mind has limits. A life has limits. Pretending otherwise does not make someone strong. It only makes the damage harder to treat later.

Apologize when you hurt someone.

Apologize when you lie.

Apologize when your choices cause preventable harm.

But do not apologize for needing help.

That is not misconduct.

That is a condition.

Oreo Brownie Trifle

Ash: “This is not a dessert.

This is a structural failure made delicious.

Brownies first, because regret is easier when it’s warm. Then cream filling. Then cookies crushed like they wronged you personally. Repeat until the bowl starts looking like a threat.

Let it chill so the flavors can commit.

Then dig in.

You earned this level of recklessness.”

Recipe: Oreo Brownie Trifle

Ingredients:

1 pan brownies, baked and cooled

Boxed mix is fine

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tub whipped topping, 8 oz

Or about 2 cups whipped cream

20 to 24 Oreo cookies, crushed

Optional chocolate syrup, for drizzle

You’ll also need:

Large trifle dish, 3–4 qt

Mixing bowls

Electric mixer or whisk

Spatula

Spoon for serving

Instructions:

Bake brownies according to package or recipe directions.

Let brownies cool completely.

Cut brownies into bite-sized pieces.

In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.

Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.

Fold in whipped topping until the filling is light and creamy.

Crush Oreos into rough crumbs. Leave some bigger pieces for texture.

In a large trifle dish, add a layer of brownie pieces.

Spread a layer of cream filling over the brownies.

Sprinkle crushed Oreos over the filling.

Repeat layers until the dish is full.

Drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired.

Chill for at least 1 hour before serving. Overnight is even better.

Serve cold.

It does not have to be fancy. It does not have to be perfect. Sometimes it is soup. Sometimes it is toast. Sometimes it is leftovers warmed with care because that is what the day had room for.

But when someone is fed, they are being told something.

You were expected.

You were considered.

You may sit down.

You may stay.

Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese Bake

Ash: “Let’s be honest.

This is not diet food. This is victory food.

It hugs you. It burns you. It stretches when you scoop it like it knows you already failed the assignment and decided to enjoy it anyway.

Protein? Check. Carbs? Check. Regrets? Absolutely.

Wouldn’t change a thing.”

Recipe: Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese Bake

Ingredients:

12 oz elbow macaroni

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp flour

2 cups milk

4 oz cream cheese

1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 cups cooked shredded chicken

1/2 cup buffalo sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

Green onion, optional

Ranch, optional for serving

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Lightly grease a baking dish.

Cook elbow macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat.

Whisk in flour and cook for about 1 minute to form a roux.

Slowly whisk in milk until smooth.

Add cream cheese and stir until melted.

Stir in cheddar cheese and mozzarella until the sauce is creamy.

Add buffalo sauce and mix until combined.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Stir in cooked shredded chicken.

Add cooked macaroni and mix until fully coated.

Transfer everything to the prepared baking dish.

Top with extra cheddar and mozzarella if desired.

Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and borderline criminal.

Top with green onion and drizzle with ranch if desired.

Serve warm.

Title: Bacon Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole

Ash: “This is a burger that lost patience.

Beef. Cheese. Bacon. Tots. Ketchup and mustard for legal cheeseburger recognition.

You put the beef on the bottom, the cheese in the middle, and the crispy potatoes on top because architecture matters. Then you bake it until it bubbles like it knows exactly what it did.

Eat it hot. Share it if you’re feeling generous.

Or don’t.

I’m not your supervisor.”

Recipe: Bacon Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp mustard

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 bag frozen tater tots, about 32 oz

6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Optional chopped pickles or green onion, for serving

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is softened.

Drain excess grease if needed.

Season the beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Stir in ketchup and mustard until the beef mixture is evenly coated.

Spread the beef mixture evenly into the bottom of the baking dish.

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.

Arrange frozen tater tots in an even layer over the cheese. No gaps. No mercy.

Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the tots are crispy and golden and the casserole is hot and bubbly.

Sprinkle cooked crumbled bacon over the top.

Add chopped pickles or green onion if desired.

Serve hot.

Ash's Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bake

Ash: “Good breakfast. Bad decisions. Excellent outcome.

This is breakfast with no legal defense. You cut regret into bite-sized pieces, drown it in custard, bake it until it becomes everyone’s problem, then ice it like restraint was never invited.

The only thing better than this bake is the nap after.

Make it. Own it. Regret nothing.”

Recipe: Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bake

Ingredients:

2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing

4 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp cinnamon

2 tbsp maple syrup, optional

Icing from the cinnamon roll cans

You’ll also need:

9x13 baking dish

Nonstick spray or butter

Whisk

Knife

Mixing bowl

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Grease a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray or butter.

Open the cinnamon roll cans and set the icing aside.

Cut each cinnamon roll into bite-sized pieces.

Spread the cinnamon roll pieces evenly in the baking dish.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and maple syrup if using.

Pour the custard mixture evenly over the cinnamon roll pieces.

Gently press the pieces down so they soak up the custard.

Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until puffed, golden, and bubbly around the edges.

Warm the icing slightly if needed, then drizzle it over the bake.

Serve warm.

Ash Note: Best served warm. Cold is still good. Warm is life-altering.

Foxy: “Taking care of a home is work.

Beautiful work, yes. Loving work, certainly. But still work.

Food does not appear because everyone was hungry. Clean clothes do not fold themselves out of affection. Peace does not happen because no one made a mess.

Someone noticed. Someone planned. Someone remembered.

Love can make the work worth doing.

Foxy's Chickpea Curry

Foxy: Comforting, practical, and kinder to your schedule than takeout.

This is pantry food doing honest work. Onion, garlic, spices, chickpeas, tomatoes, coconut milk, and spinach. Nothing dramatic. Nothing fussy. Just warm food that keeps well and feeds you more than once.

Good food. Good plan. Good you.

Recipe: Chickpea Curry

Ingredients:

1 tbsp oil

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp curry powder

1 tsp ground cumin

2 cans chickpeas, drained

1 can diced tomatoes

1 can light coconut milk

2 cups spinach

2 cups cooked rice

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Heat oil in a large pot or skillet over medium heat.

Add diced onion and cook for 3–5 minutes, until softened.

Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.

Stir in curry powder and cumin. Let the spices toast briefly.

Add drained chickpeas and diced tomatoes. Stir to combine.

Pour in coconut milk and bring to a gentle simmer.

Simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the curry thickens slightly.

Stir in spinach at the end and cook until wilted.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve warm over cooked rice.

Meal Prep Note: Refrigerate up to 4 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave.

Fox: “A fair rule should be able to survive being questioned.

If the answer is only ‘because I said so,’ then it may not be a rule at all. It may be control hiding behind a tidy title.

Order matters. Structure matters. But the purpose of structure is protection, not ego.

A household is not a throne room.

Foxy's Sheet Pan Chicken and Vegetables

Foxy: “If your week is busy, let the oven help you. Cut everything evenly, season it well, and give it enough room on the pan. Crowding the tray is how vegetables become sad, and we do not need sad vegetables in this house. Good food. Minimal fuss. Tomorrow’s lunch handled.”

Recipe: Sheet Pan Chicken and Vegetables

Ingredients:

1 lb chicken breast, cubed

1 sweet potato, cubed

1 head broccoli, cut into florets

1 bell pepper, chopped

1 red onion, sliced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Cut chicken and vegetables into roughly even-sized pieces so they cook evenly.

Place chicken, sweet potato, broccoli, bell pepper, and red onion on the sheet pan.

Drizzle with olive oil.

Sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Toss everything until evenly coated.

Spread the chicken and vegetables into a single layer. Do not crowd the pan.

Roast for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.

Portion into containers for meal prep, or serve warm.

Ash's Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Bake

Ash: This is what happens when pasta stops pretending it has self-control.

Creamy. Cheesy. Bacon-y. Ranchy.

Is it healthy? No. Is it dinner? Absolutely. Will you regret it? Not if you have any respect for joy.

Life’s short. Eat the cheesy pasta.”

Recipe: Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Bake

Ingredients:

12 oz penne or rotini pasta

2 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded

8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup milk

1 packet ranch seasoning mix

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Salt and pepper, to taste

Green onion, sliced, optional for topping

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Cook pasta according to package directions until just al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cook bacon until crisp, then crumble it.

In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, milk, and ranch seasoning. Stir until smooth and creamy.

Add cooked pasta, chicken, bacon, cheddar, and mozzarella. Mix until everything is coated.

Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.

Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.

Top with extra cheese or bacon if desired.

Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and lightly golden.

Some people enter a room like a trumpet. That does not mean you failed by being a flute.

Foxy’s kitchen note:

Breakfast does not need to be dramatic. It needs protein, a container, and preferably fewer people pretending coffee counts as a life plan.

Egg Muffin Cups

Ingredients:

8 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1 cup spinach, chopped

1/2 bell pepper, diced

1/4 onion, diced

1/2 cup shredded cheese

Cooking spray or a little oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or a little oil.

Whisk eggs and milk together in a bowl.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Divide spinach, bell pepper, onion, and shredded cheese between the muffin cups.

Pour the egg mixture evenly into each cup.

Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the egg cups are set and lightly golden.

Let them cool before removing from the tin.

Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Reheat in the microwave for 20–30 seconds as needed.

Ash’s kitchen note:

Garlic bread was already carrying civilization. I simply gave it armor, chicken, and enough cheese to make Fox request a liability waiver.

Loaded Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread

Ingredients:

1 loaf Italian bread

3 tbsp garlic butter

2 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded

1 cup Alfredo sauce

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded mozzarella

1/4 cup grated parmesan

Parsley, for serving

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Slice the Italian bread lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet.

Spread garlic butter over the cut side of the bread.

Lightly toast the bread so it stays structurally sound under the toppings.

Warm the cooked chicken.

In a bowl or pan, mix Alfredo sauce with softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

Spread the Alfredo mixture over the toasted garlic bread.

Top with chicken, mozzarella, and parmesan.

Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly browned.

Garnish with parsley, slice, and serve hot.
