Genuinely debating refiltering the Good Omens tag for when I can emotionally deal with people criticizing the thing I loved for the same reasons I loved it. Like opinions are obviously just that but I am getting really fucking tired of people saying "they should have kissed" and acting like that is the only way to show love. I am tired of people acting like the personalized kissing the hand thing isn't showing love. It is, in my mind having that meaning that other people cant see for a simple gesture is far more full of love than a kiss could ever be.
Have your own opinions but I am tired of the blatant refusal to recognize types of love.

So I finally got around to watching Good Omens 3. And like, was it perfect? No! Of course not. We knew that!! We knew that beforehand! But I liked it anyway, even though it took some routes I wouldn't have chosen personally. I'm not disappointed with the ending. I am however incredibly disappointed with this fandom because I've been online for maybe 15 minutes and the absolutely vicious hate this is receiving is actually astounding.
This was a safe space! I'm genuinely worried about posting this now because I'm scared y'all will tear me apart for it. I'll do it anyway but like??? I loved this little corner of the internet so much! What happened? We all knew this would be too short and probably not the same and horribly bittersweet. We knew that!!! Why is everyone suddenly acting like we didn't? I don't get it. Yes I'm sad that it ended. I'm absolutely shattered and I will miss them so much. But to me it was so painfully in character for them to ultimately choose humanity over themselves. Especially because for a moment I worried they would go the route of making them the new God and Devil but with reversed roles. And that would have been something I wouldn't have liked. But this? Of course they choose humanity. Of course they do!! They love humans, even when we're weird and stupid and constantly being difficult.
Also we quite literally got the "I'll choose you in every universe" trope served on a fucking platter and somehow people are still complaining! Does it make complete sense? No! But this was never meant to be a fully philosophically and theologically sound show! Or was I the only one who took it like that from the beginning? I'm so confused about people's reactions.
