today i am 26 years old. i dont know why but ive been dreading being 26. it sounds so much older than 25. and theres so many thoughts in my head telling me im behind or doing it wrong. so i thought this day would suck. also i always cry on my birthday. but today was perfect. i went on the river boat and went to sushi and spent the whole day with william. i feel loved and right where im supposed to be. if it doesn’t get any better than this, im more than okay with that. i am so grateful for what this year brought me and changed in me. i don’t even recognize the girl i was a year ago. i’ve grown so much. i know i’ll continue to grow too. 25 was the most life changing year ive had. for so many reasons. i’ve cut out things and people and habits that were not good for me, and ive picked up things that are. i finally put out an album and met so many amazing people who resonated with my stories. i get to sing for a living. that’s all i’ve ever wanted.
