Hi! I just wanted to say that I've been following for many years, and I always look forward to your writing- the source material often isn't something I'm familiar with, but I'm always drawn in anyway because the way you write characters is always so three dimensional and compelling.
I hope this isn't weird to say; but as a neurodivergent person with a lot of anxiety, the way you depict characters who are at odds with conventional logic/behavior has always Really resonated with me. So often in your work you depict an experience I'm familiar with- always feeling either a bit too much, or not enough, or somehow both at the same time; desperate to do the right thing, to not be a disappointment; self-aware enough to know when you're messing up, but often juust not aware enough to get on the right page with other people in time- all of which breeds so much fear and tension over time, anxiety about getting it wrong or wondering what you're missing. And sometimes operating on that different wavelength is frustrating or even unintentionally harmful to other people. And you depict that messiness, something that is sometimes ugly and awkward and painful, with such Empathy, for all involved parties, in a way that I have always found extremely refreshing and even cathartic. A lot of times when neurodivergence/ anxiety comes up in writing, the themes can be handled in ways I find irritatingly saccharine or disingenuous; but the characters you write always feel very honest, and very human, and there's a tenderness even in the ugly moments, if that makes sense.
Thank you for your work, it means a lot to me!
Thank you so much- I'm so sorry it took me so long to respond, it always does when someone is so nice and gives me so much to think about xD especially when it's anon, I wish I could send this privately to you.
I'm really glad I write things that are enjoyable for you to read, that hit on some kind of shared experience- I think that that is all anyone who is trying to write is trying to do, when it comes down to it, perform our own kind of weird manual telepathy and strike a chord in other brains that have shared these experiences, that we'd never otherwise make contact with.
I love that it can be cathartic for you to read my stuff, I feel a lot about these characters and when I write about the ones I love they're the most important thing to me, getting across my take on how it feels to be them. I would always want to be empathetic and a lot of the time, I feel a lot of myself in them.
Thank you for taking the time to read my stuff and write this, so much. It means a lot to me ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I wrote another short(ish) TADC fic to go with Here in the Garden. This one was inspired by a thing Goose said, that Caine tried to 'fix Scratch's brain and make him happy.'
I feel like I haven't written anything for ages and then TADC got into my brain and forced me to hammer out two of probably the best things I've ever written, or at least the most carefully or halfway capably put togather. It's been a lot of fun, I hope theyr'e as fun to read.
After doing that Kinger doodle the other day, I decided to illustrate some more quotes from Frankenstein I thought were Relevant. The moral of the story is: if you make a sentient abomination and then abandon him, he's probably going to have some emotions about it, SMH. I think I just like how Caine is a sort of "Frankenstein's monster in clown shoes," trapped in a way that's both horrible but also ridiculous— Mary Shelley in comic sans.

I've been wanting to tackle a one shot for awhile, and when some friends pointed out Wicker!Alton has had zero comic screen time I saw a nice opportunity!
Wickerman is a unique secret weapon in that he is not a facet of Altons personality, hes the god himself using Altons body as a vessel. Turns out something about him keeps him from burning from inside out when touched by the gods divinity. Tough break for Alton though, and for Katie too.

If you haven't heard of Julia Donaldson, she's primarily a picture book author, who we can thank for extremely popular Halloween classic Room on the Broom as well as the Gruffalo.
Let this be a testament to the power of picture books.
saw a video about a singer who canceled the fireworks show at her concert because she noticed that a stray dog was quietly watching her performance and she didn’t want to scare him away and maybe maybe there’s still hope for humankind
❝ Brazilian singer Taty Girl left her fans speechless during a concert when she made an unexpected decision: she suspended the fireworks show she had planned to protect a homeless dog who was attending the show.
While singing, Taty noticed the presence of a dog she named “Caramelo,” who was calmly watching from a distance. Without hesitation, she told her audience: “We will not launch any more fireworks, Caramelo does not like them. Out of respect for him, we will not use them. You can see that he is there quietly, enjoying the show.”
Taty’s gesture was applauded by the audience, who not only admired her sensitivity, but also suggested that she adopt the dog. According to reports, the singer listened to the voices of her fans and decided to take Caramelo home, ensuring him a life full of love and care. ❞

We need your help!
The City of Stanstead and the Haskell Free Library and Opera Hou… Deborah Bishop needs your support for Haskell Infra
The City of Stanstead Free Library is a beloved community building located in Stanstead, Quebec, where the borderline cuts the building in two. Please watch the video, donate if you can, and find out how you guys can help the library handle the aggressive shut-down of the library and new border restrictions imposed by the US government, which will soon force Canadian citizens accessing the library to go through a border checkpoint unless the library can create a new Canadian-side entrance and infrastructure.
TLDR: They literally need the money to build a new door on the other side of the building. And they're getting close!
