many women are excited to get old and weird, but i have great news that it's fully possible to become weird now, before you get old. just imagine the heights of weirdness you will be able to reach in fifty years if you get started now. that's what I think
redditor joins tumblr and is shocked and upset by the concept of a gifset
it’s truly remarkable when you put it this way. but it also begs the question: what is there, if anything, that could prevent this?
feminism has been around for decades, yet educating men has never worked.
the best thing a woman can do is be educated, have her own career and financial independence. and never partner with a male.
it won’t stop all violence against us, but it’ll save millions of us from male partner violence, which is more common than strangers killing or raping us.

tomorrow is the fourth anniversary of the dobbs decision, which overturned roe v. wade. since then:
13 states have total abortion bans
41 states have some sort of abortion bans in effect
51 Planned Parenthoods were forced to close in 2025 ALONE
women have died because doctors are scared to treat deadly miscarriages for fear of prosecution (and so many more are unreported)
this has led to miscarriage care being heavily mismanaged / compromised (2.8% increase in patients being sent home to wait and see; 2.2% decrease in medication management; and a 13.8% jump in misoprostol-only treatment, which is safe but not the standard of care in US and may take longer, resulting in more discomfort)
republicans are trying to make it illegal to ship medications like mifepristone, which are used to safely induce medical abortions (scotus reversed a decision to make it illegal, but lower courts are still fighting)
ob-gyns are leaving, in mass exodus, states with abortion bans which leaves a massive gap in reproductive healthcare
and i know i'm missing more.
And women are dying because doctors are refusing to give them treatment for fatal medical conditions, even when those treatments have no proven harm to the fetus, because they are so scared of prosecution:
In a state that had legislated its commitment to life, Graham spent her final days struggling to find anyone to save hers.
Over one third of my state's OB-GYNs have left because the abortion ban makes it impossible for them to provide adequate healthcare to their patients. I believe we now have the lowest per capita rate of OB-GYNs in the country. Waiting lists are months long. Rural women are hit the hardest, and have to travel hours for appointments.
One of the things that still hurts me deeply about hair removal culture is the loss of innocence. I was sitting in a shopping centre today having a drink and I saw this little girl, maybe around 8 or 9 with her mum and older sister, I think Turkish, and she had this glitzy little tank top on, probably dressing up for he last day of school since it's school holidays now. She had visible dark hair up to her shoulders and on her lower back and she was running around playing with her sister without a care in the world, just looking so happy and free and I felt a pang in my heart, I was both so happy and so sad for her. I thought about the last time I was unaware of my body hair or of my body at all, and I can't even remember it. I remember being 7 or 8 and messing around with the sink when washing my paintbrushes at school and one of the kids pointed out how dark the hair on my arms was when it got wet. And since then I couldn't stop noticing it and how much darker and more visible it was than everyone elses, even the boys, especially whenever I had to put on a tshirt for P.E. or a dress in the summer. And I remember going home one day and trying to cut all my arm hair off with a pair of craft scissors and my mum found out and was so angry because she thought that I since cut the hair it was going to grow back even thicker and darker and that I was going to look like a freak (her exact words - thanks mum). So she started waxing my 8 year old arms with hot wax even though it burnt my skin. Then when I was 10 she started waxing my legs. Then my underarms, then my bikini line, and when I was 17 she tried to persuade me to get a brazilian wax.
The world is just so messed up for little girls, it's like no one cares that you're a child, you're a female first so you have to fit the standard of beauty from childhood at whatever cost. It's like a curse, as soon as you become aware of some new 'flaw' you can't unsee it or stop thinking about it and you're expected to 'fix' it. And it's getting even worse with the rise of even more ridiculous beauty standards and procedures and social media and now we're seeing 14 year olds with anti aging routines. I genuinely feel like the destruction of innocence as a girl is such a scarring experience, you stop being a relatively carefree and happy child who is unaware of the expectations of beauty and start having to become a 'girl'
Brazilian waxes especially should be made illegal, and while I know that would never happen, they need to at least be made illegal for anyone under 18.
People need to recognize that instilling fear in half the population over their natural body hair is a form of psychological abuse.

so you're telling me the fifa world cup is all men? its all men's teams? and so is the superbowl? and all the sports teams that states are known for and make copious amounts of merch for are also men's teams? and only 5 women have ever entered formula one since its inception in 1950 and only two of them were able to compete? and this is normal? its acceptable?
THIS IS CRAZY
100% of the proceeds are going to women’s and reproduce health organizations, including Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeForm, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women’s Law Center, and Planned Parenthood.
this post's hypothetical by itself is already ridiculous but the thing that gets me is how the wording implies two very funny things that become funnier in tandem
1. "Accidentally, the pitcher tosses a Christian baby" means this is a mistake on the pitcher's part. i imagine the pitcher is breastfeeding on the field and they pitch and they look down at their hands and they see the ball still in the glove and they go "fuck"
2. hitting the baby will still win you the game
3. You will "win millions" implying that famous baseball players are paid in cash prizes per baseball game won.
4. You can either hit the baby out of the park or not at all
5. There is a visible difference between Christian and non-Christian babies so notable that you, the atheist batter, have the ability to recognize that the baby is Christian and allow that to influence your decision-making in the split second it takes for the pitch to get within swinging distance
6. The pitcher was capable of throwing this baby in manner that allowed it to be hurled forward at a similar speed as a baseball
7. The act of throwing the baby in this manner did not harm the baby

OceanGate, the deep-sea exploration company that created the Titan submersible, has removed its Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn a
poor things, well we should definitely make this easier on them by never repeatedly mentioning their name and deeds on the "reblog things forever" website
yea that'd be a shame
by the way, just so everyone knows what not to do, shift+r reblogs a post instantly
just make sure you don't reblog anything about oceangate because that would completely undermine their entire plan 😇😇😇
You also shouldn't queue a post, that would make people keep remembering this post for a longer time, which is the opposite of forgetting
Whatever you do, make sure you do not schedule your reblog for 18 June, at 13:17 UTC, the time of the implosion.
Californians have the chance to end child marriage in the state all thanks to Kate Yang's endless activism to end child marriage in all fifty states. They will be deliberating about this in the next week or so, so any letters of support they receive in the next 48hrs or so will be very important.
Californian residents please share your support for the amendment proposed for AB 1267 and send in a letter of support to your legislators to make the minimum marriage age 18 with no exceptions. I also believe non-residents are allowed to submit support letters, but they have told Kate before that there isn't a lot of public concern about this matter and they would need to see more Californians support ending child marriage than previously.
Here's more info from her insta on how to support ending child marriage in CA
I highly recommend following her to keep up with her efforts to end child marriage in other US states, she is a remarkable woman with such an important voice everyone should be helping amplify
For anyone wanting the link immediately to where you submit letters!
Them: Sit like a lady
Me:
Sit like women did before short skirts made “knees together” “ladylike”.
Instead of complaining that men take up too much space maybe we should just start talking up space again.
Big skirts Big stance Big mood
Men are always telling me they have to sit like that because nuts need to breathe. What you think my girl don’t need air?
MY GIRL NEED AIR!
The thing that I find so exhausting about "if the roles were reversed" is that the roles will NEVER truly be reversed. There is too great a difference between a man doing something, his motivations, his capabilities, and a woman doing something with her motivations and capabilities. Fundamentally a woman breaking a restraining order to show up at her ex's wedding will never be the same threat as a man doing the same. Not when women commit only 10-20% of violent crimes and carry guns at half the percentage men do. Not when the average man can overpower the average woman.
feminism is about blunts and weed. its about smoking marijuana, and as much of it as you can get your hands on
