in spite of my venom

finished killing stalking by koogi (first time ever reading it) and my opinion is that its quite good. from the beginning it does a great job setting up a tense atmosphere of despair and dread and hopelessness and i think the art is also tasteful and inspired with how it blends sex and horror and i liked the gray morality of the characters and the complexity of their sexualities and while it's all very sick and twisted i was surprised to find it much more tolerable than the endless sea of BL romance comics that portray graphic rape without batting an eye or stopping to think for even a second about the effect it might have on either of the characters or their relationship because the sole intention of the story is simply to get readers' rocks off. whereas killing stalking has a lot to say about it (and the circumstances for how both characters are able to do what they do) but it still somehow has a reputation for being the most heinous. i find that interesting.

im juggling way too many unfinished narratives right now and i know its not a good idea but i also spent all day reading killing stalking adding that into the mix. so clearly i'm not learning my lesson.

aw fuck volume 3 of 'after the disabled god of war became my concubine' just came out and i was about to drop everything to read it tonight thinking it was the last volume but i just double checked oh a whim and no..... the 4th and last volume comes out in november <////3

i so rarely feel genuine fear from scary books and movies these days but i still cant be in a windowless bathroom with the lights off and the door closed without thinking of Her. and shaking in my boots
