bruh i was hating on moffat era who when it was airing lol. i watched the first matt smith season as a teen and quit part way through the second bc what moffat was doing with the show and especially the female characters was pissing me off so much. and i can tell you i was FAR from the only one at the time. if you were a child during that time, you may not have encountered fan complaints about it bc you were too young, but TRUST ME, they existed.

tbh it's hard for me to not have some grudging sympathy for ariana grande despite everything bc imo, especially when you take into account her child stardom and whatever litany of horrors dan schneider put her through as a teenager, she's really not that far removed in terms of early life show business-related psychological trauma from like.....britney spears
