it would have taken decades, shane would not want his parents to meet ilya until theyâre retired. MAYBE like 8 years. if they are on this charity board and yuna is helping with the admin and going to galas with david and meeting ilya in a polite professional setting where heâs very meek. idk i really liked that secret wedding fic where ilya is trying so hard to get in her good graces that yuna thinks heâs mocking her and hates him, and so shane canât tell her theyâre together, and that makes ilya try harder.
i donât think ilya would have the confidence to call himself shaneâs boyfriend either. like he called himself that because it was a cards on the table moment where he was out to shaneâs family so he had nothing to lose by cementing it as official.
