Diplomats and member of recognized Native American tribes are, by law, not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. the way I was posting about Trump's call to infantino right as you sent this lol. first and foremost I think trump is just trying to take credit for FIFA lifting the suspension although I wouldn't be shocked if they were still somewhat motivated by wanting to appease him even without him getting involved. I think the real corruption here is that FIFA has a vested interest in increasing its presence in the US and Balogun being our people's princess du jour means they're plenty motivated to allow him to play tonight to appease American fans (see the same situation w ronaldo) regardless of trump.

yeah obviously trump is just trying to take credit for something he wasn't involved with. that's literally his signature move.
