it is so hard to believe the "no one will remember you did/said that" bc it is just straight up not true. i still remember when i went to a con 12 years ago and watched a barista try to be cool by sliding a drink on the counter and accidentally put too much force behind it so it flew off the edge and splattered all over the ground and we stood there watching him sadly clean. he might not remember that and i dont know if anyone else does, but i do. the thought that there are people out there who think about dumb shit ive done and said and have a little laugh...well. i suppose that is the cost of admission into society.
