Knowing which security cameras in the store are “real” or “fake” by the sound (harder to tell nowadays) but as a kid, begging your mom to leave because the lighting or speaker system has that constant high pitched noise.
Even if you don’t play video games, boss music gives you anxiety after a while, or you get overwhelmed/exhausted if you’re trying to concentrate on something else while it’s playing.
Saying “what?” the third time, still not hearing, and giving up.

Knowing who still has a cathode-ray tv or display in their house, and asking them to “turn off the tv in the bedroom, you probably only turned off the cable box” if you’re hanging out in the living room
When stressed, instead of saying “what?” if you didn’t "hear” it, pausing for a second until it processes, and people ask if you’re ok
