To continue the pursuit in such a congested area puts everyone's life at risk.
They should invest in hunter-seeker missiles.
My city tried the whole 'let them go it's safer than pursuing' thing.
And that's how we got the title of 'most dangerous county to keep a vehicle' and tried suing Kia because they 'made their cars too easy to break into.'
Shockingly enough the criminals plan around the knowledge all they have to do is one dangerous enough thing and they're clear.
Same sort of weirdass questions for military clearance references. I've done it twice now and both times I couldn't not laugh at some of the questions.
"Does this person work for the Chinese government?"
"Is this person a foreign spy?"
"Would he sell state secrets if given access to them?"
I shudder to think how many times that's actually caught someone...

There's also the famous "well, there were a small number of Black Vikings, therefore it makes perfect sense for Vikings Valhalla turn an actual historical white male chieftan into a black woman."
Natural fiber costumes: yes
No corset slander: yes
Colorful clothes, historical hairstyles, hats and headcovers: YES
No potatoes or pumpkins: this one doesn't bug me as much unless it's plot relevant but sure
Actors with aging and minimal makeup: other than you don't understand what stage and screen makeup is, yes.
Hema consultants: I would KILL for this.
Diagetic soundtrack music: Some of the best soundtracks use period instruments.
Don't fucking threaten me with a good time.

Ah, but yes you can! Ordinary Sausage on youtube has spent years providing content for anyone who'd like to see just what would happen if you made a sausage out of whatever you can think of:
Recently Mr. Sausage has also been putting more time into his non-sausage videos, including stuff like Chicken Boiled in Nuclear Green Kool-Aid and Carbonated Eggs. Check it all out if you aren't prone to being easily grossed out.
The straight up whiskey sausage
@mama-germany it's your boy the sausage war criminal
You haven’t lived if you haven’t seen his Menthol Sausage
Menthol is great. As is the one with the popcorn butter.
OP: "Decarbonized formaldehyde is great. Just wash daikons with decarbonized formaldehyde and they turn white."
"Decarbonized formaldehyde" (脫碳甲醛) is an online phrase used to make fun of people that blindly avoid chemicals. Formaldehyde (H2CO) decarbonized is water (H2O).
[eng by me]
So it's a variation of "dihydrogen monoxide." (also mentioned in the above screenshots.)
Except carbon is the central atom of formaldehyde. 'Decarbonized formadehyde' is just hydrogen and oxygen ions. It would be a highly corrosive, highly explosive gas.
Honestly I'd take the fucking formaldehyde. It's safer. This stuff would oxidize and acidify you simultaneously, and if you sneeze too hard around it the whole thing goes up in a gigantic explosion.
Collapsible batons are considered a concealed weapon and will land you jail time even if you don’t use it.
Noguns/anti-gun mfers always have the most distorted ideas about self defense and how it's viewed in the eyes of the law.
Their conclusions shape their understanding of the world.
"Gun control is a solution for violence. If violence is happening, than it must be because there aren't enough laws controlling guns."
And that's how you get the "I wish women had as many rights as guns" rhetoric that is hilarious when you compare it to the reality.
"You just need a few simple moves to defeat anyone!"
Just take the gun out of their hand! <- actual suggestion I've seen made
Caught with one of those in CA you're looking at a felony, even if you have a license to carry it.
License only covers you if you're working in whichever job it is that you are licensed to carry it for.
Brass knuckles or other similar devices are illegal with no licenses available here too.
Get. A. Walking. Stick.
It's a walking aid and genuinely can increase your endurance even with casual use. Almost no one will ever even glance at it when going in to venues and daily life ubless you get an ostentatious one.
And if the haft is ironwood, or has a core of steel rod, no one needs to know that unless it comes up in the trial, but what prosecutor is going to charge a person who 'needs a cane' defending themselves from a threat with the tools they have to-hand?
The would still consider it a concealed weapon designed to appear as a non weapon. Lmao purely because it’s designed with a core rod they claim “it was designed to be used to harm”.
Trust me people get charged for dumb shit like this in self defense cases all the time in heavily restricted states/countries.
I suspect you could get charged for a regular walking stick in some places.
"Loaded canes" are banned by name pretty much everywhere.
Me when a MFer says I should get a fucking stick:
Stop being a pussy, just acquire a fucking nuclear weapon like God fucking intended.
When I worked in dental, we had a bunch of British expats. One of them saw I carried a knife and asked nervously if I carried it for defense.
I told him it was for boxes, he seemed to relax, at least until I told him I carried a .45 for defense. (At the time my EDC was a government 1911)
Huh. Today I learned that they have a specific name. And that they've been caught up.
Ironwood it is.

>Instructions on salmon filet say to bake thawed at 400 F for 25-30 minutes >wellthatcantberight.jpg >look it up >ultimately the main thing is the internal temp like you'd expect. 140-145 is the FDA recommendation to kill off anything that might be in there. 120-125 is rare or medium-rare equivalent and probably tastes better but I don't fuck around with food borne illnesses for personal reasons >I settle on 135-140 target temp and then I'll let it rest >most people I'm seeing are cooking at 350 degrees >some are doing it as low as 200 F but again I don't feel like going that low >stick it in for 300 F figuring I'll check it after a bit >check at 25 minute mark figuring it'll need more time >147 F internal
Salmon is a fish. It cooks if you look at it too hard.
Most people overcook the shit out of salmon specifically. Which... eh. If it doesn't burn and you like it falling apart it can be fine.
You are an adventurer in a generic fantasy world and you use this weapon!
Do you like it?
YES!!!!!
yes
Eh it's okay
No
NO!!!!!!!
I got a bow.
I can work with that.

Hell yeah.
Nunchaku? I have one in real life. I'm not very good with it though.
Dagger.
I'll take it. More close quarters than I'd like but.
it's always "did you really need to burn down your workplace to prove a point" and never "how was the revenge arson? did you have fun doing revenge arson? were the flames pretty?"
🔥🔥🔥
Context for other users:
On the morning of April 7, 2026, a fire was started at the Kimberly-Clark Distribution Center in Ontario, California. It escalated to a six-alarm fire and took nearly twelve hours to extinguish. The facility was completely destroyed and declared a "total loss". There were no injuries or deaths. An employee who was working in the warehouse is accused of arson.
Authorities stated that the employee had shared videos of himself starting the fire on Facebook, saying "all you had to do was pay us enough to live" and "there goes your inventory" while lighting pallets of toilet paper ablaze.
ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS PAY US ENOUGH TO LIVE
No injuries. No deaths. This was a protest fire. This is why unions are important, to prevent frustrations like these, to ensure people are paid enough to live.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dumb question, but (taking the motive at face value) how would a union specifically have prevented this as opposed to warehouse just paying workers more?
"Anything destructive is good if you sound like a communist."
Do you think the heroic impoverished proletariat is doing better or worse now that their workplace has burned down and they can no longer perform labor in exchange for wages? Was this an effective action to empower the heroic impoverished proletariat, or was it destructive and helped nobody except as it provided masturbation material to communists?
Do you actually and literally know what they were actually paid in the actual real life world or are you just assuming that because the concept of money makes you upset, any violence and destruction was justified?
No injuries. No deaths.
THROUGH NO FAULT OF HIS!
He never told any of the other workers to leave and they were in fact looking for him before they had to evacuate. It is sheer luck that nobody was killed because the arsonist couldn't have cared less if everyone else there had died.
This was a protest fire.
Protest fire. Arson. Sure looks the same to me.
This is why unions are important, to prevent frustrations like these, to ensure people are paid enough to live.
I don't think "Unionize or there will be arson" is the great reasoning you think it is.
Regarding the warehouse arson, he wasn’t working for Kimberly-Clark, whose inventory he destroyed, he was working for a contracted inventory management company. So his “protest” didn’t actually make a point, his employers didn’t actually lose anything except maybe a contract for that one warehouse which can be offset by firing his co-workers. Kimberly-Clark likely had insurance, but will suffer some loss due to higher premiums, but they didn’t control his pay.
Kimberly-Clark almost certainly didn't own the building.
So they lost their inventory, but the building was 10-50 million dollars. Those development companies also often do housing.
Guess where they need to make back that loss?

700,000?
Only 63,350 have died while serving post Vietnam.
Where the fuck is 700k coming from?
If you add WWI and WWII you get close to that number.
If you add those you have to add every war we ever fought in. That's 1.3 million. 600,000 more.
Not overseas, though.
And there's good argument for not including the Civil War; you wouldn't include in a ship's kill count, for instance, a time when its own engines shat the bed and killed 50 of her own crew.
