It's basically them admitting that being a supposed oppressed group has certain benefits that they want to hold onto. It's why they fight against men's issues so hard, even when the issue doesn't involve them.
Because men's issues, if acknowledged at all, must be dealt with through a 'feminist lens' so they can control the perception of that issue to maintain their own victimhood which grants them power. It's a mass 'crying woman' tactic, really.
Did womans victimhood grant them power when families chose to kill their daughters so they could try again for a son? Or when their genitals get mutilated?

It granted them the ability in some countries to have more funding for their rape and abuse while men barely get any, the ability to have rape laws written that prevent them for being considered rapists in some parts of the world, it got the u.n.
It granted them the right for widespread activism again FGM while male circumcision is less likely to be opposed and even have certain organizations like many u.n. ones to encourage. It got them the ability in many parts of the world to be exempt from the draft. The ability for their sexism and profiling of men to get excused and defended.
Whenever men and women suffer issues it grants them a society more likely to put more aid for helping women even when men suffer it more.
