It bothers me greatly when someone in typing communicates that a word is being dragged out by repeating the final consonant instead of the vowel in the emphasized syllables (the sound that would logically be dragged out if spoken aloud). Infinitely moreso when the word ends in a frictive (p b t d k g), a sound that definitions cannot be stretched out. If you want to elongate "cant" for example, it should be "caaaaaaaant" not "cantttttttttt" which i will pronounce "cantitititititititit".
