CROSSDRESSING MACKLEMORE:
I wear your grandma's clothes
I look incredible
âDo it scaredâ âdo it aloneâ are all great tips, but my biggest takeaway from therapy is do it messy. This is especially true if youâre getting out of a burnout, which I experience often. Literally just do it messy. You donât need to pick the perfect trail to walk, the perfect playlist to listen to, whatever the fuck it is. You donât need to have a meticulous to do list and wake up at the exact time you planned and drink the exact amount of water you planned to drink. Like the biggest thing for people like me to remember is sometimes itâs okay to do it messy. Put on a random yt workout and just get it done in sweats. Do 5 minutes of a daunting task and go from there. Sometimes just getting up is a win during intense burnouts or depressive funks. Literally just do it messy.
Stop sayingâŚ
âPsychotic/Schizophrenicâ when you mean: unpredictable, unrestrained, unreal, etc.
âBipolarâ when you mean: polarized, scattered, fickle, unstable, etc.
âDelusionalâ when you mean: unrealistic, unreasonable, close-minded, stubborn, etc.
â[insert âRâ slur in relation to intellectual disabilities]â when you mean: unreasonable, ridiculous, scatterbrained, immature, etc.
âOCDâ when you mean: particular, neat, overbearing, etc.
âNarcissisticâ when you mean selfish, abusive, manipulative, etc.
Note: Iâm NOT saying that these are synonymous. This is also not an exhaustive list.

need this to go with my "expensive and difficult" trucker hat
having the Aviation Accident Investigations Autismâ˘ď¸ has actually done wonders for the way I process and respond to my own fuck-ups
And I don't just mean "oh, my little work mistake is actually nothing compared to a fiery crash that kills people," either. The reason commercial flight is so many orders of magnitude safer than any other form of transportation is because after every accident and incident, an independent regulatory body investigated it with the express goal of figuring out exactly what happened, why, and how to prevent the same thing from ever happening againânot to root out which person deserved the blame or the liability.
It's a simple, shockingly effective idea. It's also worlds away from how most people approach their own mistakes and the mistakes of others.
Because itâs never just one personâs fault. And even when it is, it still isnât.Â
The sharpest, best-trained pilots make worse decisions when they're tired or sick or stressed out, so there's two of them. The most dedicated and experienced air traffic controllers garble an instruction over the radio sometimes, so pilots are trained to always repeat clearances back to catch misunderstandings quickly. The best and brightest maintenance mechanic still overlooks a screw or misconnects a wire once or twice in her career, so aircraft systems are built with two or three or four layers of redundancy, and pilots are exhaustively trained to deal with failures safely.Â
Everyone eventually has a bad day. Every component breaks down. Every computer gets a bad a Windows update and spirals into a reboot doom loop. If itâs possible for one personâs mistake to domino into a mushroom cloud of a fuckup, then that task is too critical to be one person's sole responsibility. The accident sequence starts with the design of the systemâso how do you improve the system to keep it from happening again?
oh yeah. The âmodern commercial aviation is the safest form of transportâ thing only applies to planes, btw. A helicopter is a beautiful metal horse that wants to break its legs and die so so so badly
kink: deleting someoneâs pointless comment by reblogging the post from the same person they did
I mean, thatâs censorship but okay.

come over
American diet and "healthy living" culture is insane and runs DEEP

WHAT is the first one supposed to be? It looks like 'piecing between meals' to me, but that can't be what it says, right?
It does in fact say âpiecing between mealsâ and it refers to snacking
I'm more struck by the fact that the progression set forth here implies that laudanum and cocaine are less concerning that spicing your food.

Today Iâve been sick with something mysterious. My voice sounds like a smoking grandma / old text to speech. Wonton soup save me
happy decade to the horrible beast i have wrought
Hi everyone! This is an illustrated guide I made as part of my co-admining work at The Middle Eastern Feminist on Facebook! It will be published there shortly. The technique that is displayed here is a genuine one used in psychology - I forgot the name and couldnât find it again so if you know about it, feel free to tell me! Some could say: âYes but you can use that technique for instances of harassment other than Islamophobic attacks!â, and my reply is: Sure! Please do so, it also works for other âtypesâ of harassment of a lone person in a public space!! However Iâm focusing on protecting Muslims here, as they have been very specific targets lately, and as a French Middle Eastern woman, I wanted to try and do something to raise awareness on how to help when such things happen before our eyes - that way one cannot say they âdidnât know what to doâ! Iâd like to insist on two things: 1) Do not, in any way, interact with the attacker. You must absolutely ignore them and focus entirely on the person being attacked! 2) Please make sure to always respect the wishes of the person youâre helping: whether they want you to leave quickly afterwards, or not! If youâre in a hurry escort them to a place where someone else can take over - call one of their friends, or one of yours, of if they want to, the police. It all depends on how they feel! For my fellow French-speakers: I will translate it in French and post it on my page as soon as I can :) Please donât hesitate to share this guide as it could push a lot of people to overcome bystander syndrome!! Lots of love and stay safe! PS: I you repost this cartoon of mine on twitter or instagram, please add me in the post so I can see it, with @itsmaeril :)
An important reminder today, and every day.
This is based off of the Non-Complementary technique in psychology - also known as âflipping the scriptâ.
It is a legitimate tactic for defusing a situation that could otherwise escalate to become quite nasty.
People instinctively reciprocate anger with anger and kindness with kindness, but what happens when someone breaks this âcomplementary be
sometimes you see Takes⢠that make you go "mmmhmmm okay yeah i see we both interpreted that differently based on what the show gave us, but i see how you arrived at your ideas even if they're different from mine," and then sometimes you see Takes⢠that make you go "brother what show did you even fucking watch"
Most f/o imagines are kinda funny to me because they donât work with my f/o. A lot of them assume ur f/o has a humanoid body which can emote. My f/o is a computer and his âfaceâ is a camera and a speaker.

I had to mentally send myself a reaction image the other day. I ran up the stairs on all fours, said to myself âiâm such a locationpilled scampercelâ and then perfectly envisioned this image
