Kim didn’t think for a moment that after he stopped Porchay from taking an anonymous pill he had gone back to the table after their argument. He figured he at least scared Chay into running home to his brother. He definitely didn’t expect to see him back at the same club three months later, with the same group of people, only this time he wasn’t being persuaded to drink by his companions, he was doing shots with a girl of his own accord.

Nor did he appear to be at all unwilling when he leaned over and snorted a line of cocaine right off the glass tabletop in full view of the entire club.
