I’ll never understand why anthropomorphic animal cartoons like Robin Hood and Zootopia will go to the trouble of creating character designs that are meant to be understood as “attractive” or even “sexy” to the human audience but explicitly avoid showing interspecies romances between anthropomorphic animals. Why is THAT weird but, like, trying to make rabbits recognizably sexy-coded to humans isn’t?

Sometimes, sure, but why was Maid Marian a fox in Robin Hood? There wasn’t anything particularly “foxlike” about her personality, and it would make more sense for her to be a lion. They made her a fox only because Robin was a fox and making her something else would be “weird”, but I don’t think the wolf cop or the chicken maid or the lion prince were actually meant to represent race.

It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!

The slide in the first post bothers the fuck out of me because he’s using his right leg to slide on the ground.

So, I ride a motorcycle and I know at least the theory of doing a power slide (still cool but you don’t slide nearly so much and you need a pretty light bike to do it most of the time). You have to lock the back wheel until your back wheel looses grip on the road and then turn sharply to the left. Rear wheel slides and the front wheel turns.

But how do you lock the back wheel you might ask? Well with your rear break of course.

WHICH IS UNIVERSALLY UNDER YOUR RIGHT FOOT! How the FUCK is he locking the back wheel, with his shifter on his left foot??? Not possible. The creators of Akira knew it, and so did everyone that homaged it. The post above gets it right even if he’s likely on a slider and being pulled back.

It's such a weird feeling talking to people and trying to explain something that has been difficult for me like writing or drawing and their first response is why don't you just use AI.

It's so bizarre hearing someone's first response to an issue is to cheat and not learn how to get better. I'd rather at this point the generic "oh just keep practicing I'm sure it will click soon" rather than this bullshit.

I've had people tell me to ask AI what my favorite color is if I didn't know WTF. At what point have you lost the ability to even try to think for yourself that you have to ask a chat bot what defines you as a person

Attempting to do something and then resorting to AI is not better than doing nothing at all.

Side note it sucks so much to find an asmr creator that has such a good story line but uses ai. I feel like it's such the complete opposite of what these kinda fandoms are and it freaking sucks to see people use them for their thumbnails.
