ohhh this is such a fun tag game!! hmm, in this moment I think I'll say:
whisper. there's something so ghostly about it (also love the word ghost), and it's sort of an onomatopoeia, like it's asking to be whispered. it just feels like a gray-lit room with sheer white drapes being tossed about by the wind.

When I saw the "Quick! Think of a word you like!" for some reason the first word that came to mind was tear - but tear the drop of liquid that runs when you cry đ§, not tear as in tear apart. They're different words. Tear is much prettier and it's even prettier in other languages (δΏκĎĎ ! lĂĄgrima!). And I also find the teardrop shape really pretty.
Ooooh this is more difficult than it should be but I love the word murmur. Which is probably obvious considering I think I overuse it in my fics đ¤Łđ¤Ł it just feels like itâs more intimate and sensual than most of the synonyms. Gotta get up close and personal.

He was met with the sweet and pungent smell of something, his whole body reacting viscerally as he saw a wolf's head. The fur was russet and brown, blue eyes milky, and mouth shoved full of bluish-purple flowers that Stiles knew were wolfsbane. A notecard was placed on top neatly like a card with a single word: Soon.

âAnd according to the will, he has another parent.â
âWhat!?â came from Scott, as well as other exclamations of shock and awe around the room. Somehow, though, Scott seemed to be loudest of all.
âWhy would you not tell us who your mother was?â Scott demanded from Eli.
âOh, shut up! I donât owe you anything. I donât know you from a hole in the ground. You want me to be your child? You do realize that kids come first, right? Besides, I already have a father.â
âIâm sorry, Eli. I know we resurrected Allison, but I donât think we can do it with Derek.â
âDonât think? Do you know anything?â Eli practically screamed. "Besides, I didnât say I had a dad. I said I had a father.â
Peter cleared his throat, shooting a look at Eli, hoping he would relax a bit and leave some part of Scott for Stiles to tear a strip off of him. âAs I said, Eli has two custodial parents. I didnât say mother. He has his dad, and his father.â
Scott looked dumbstruck. âDerek was gay?â
âNo dumbass, he had girlfriends, obviously. Derekâs bi.â Cora stated, the disdain was dripping from her tone.
âSo, whoâs your father, then?â Scott demanded of Eli.

They both agreed they couldâwanted toâkeep it casual. It became almost a game to see who could stay the most casual, no matter what they did, what they felt. Derek casually sealed their first kiss.
Stiles casually pulled him into bed the first time.
Breathing hard, staring at the ceiling with stars in his eyes, Derek asked, "Wanna do that again?" Casually, of course.
Stiles rolled on top of him and playfully bit at his chest. "You up for it, big guy?"
Days and nights and weeks later, Stiles casually cooked dinner for them both, and Derek made breakfast. Spare toothbrushes were added to each bathroom without fanfare.
Early one morning, still pleasantly buzzing from the night before, Derek crept to the kitchen, digging in the bag he'd left on the counter.
Stiles was still asleep, arm flung across the bed onto Derek's side.
Derek set the key casually in his upturned palm, then quietly dressed for work. His phone was silent all day. When he returned home, there were sneakers by the door, three hoodies in the coat closet, and a note on the fridge: Went to get dinner -S
He smiled.
Stiles moved his things in and a year later, casually sent Derek listing for bigger places, closer to both of their jobs.
They found a larger house, one with a yard and a reading nook for Derek and an office space for Stiles. "I love you," Derek said, casually of course.
Stiles kissed him, hands at his waist, nearly sweeping him off his feet. "I love you, too." Just as casual.
Six months, hundreds of boxed and gallons of paint later, Derek woke to the scent of bacon and waffles wafting into the room from downstairs.

I'm so excited to be posting this book! Super grateful @drgrlfriend was so down to let me bind Windows for Fan Fiction Writer Appreciation Day. This is one of my all-time favs, and I was thrilled to give it the treatment it deserves! @maichan808 & @andavs-main were also incredibly kind to allow me to include their stunning art pieces in the book <3 And thank you @renegadepublishing for putting this event together!
I wanted the typeset to be visually interesting and move around the page, without making it difficult to read. I created unique headers for each of the 28 chapters with royalty free art, and varied placement on the page in six different configurations. I also played with the text warp to make the text work as part of the image - one of my favorites is chapter 26, "Banshee", pictured above!
I used Brick duo for this bind, as part of the vision for the front cover, which was done in silver permanent vinyl. I think the rich rust color is perfect for how I would imagine Stiles & Derek's apartment building, and the silver is incredibly reflective - my favorite part is how the vinyl catches the light on the spine, and can reflect "Windows" on whatever surface it's on (pictured above). That's not an added effect, it's just doing that!
I did @tankbredgrunt's faux double-core headband with some Sulky Gutermann I bought at a secondhand store for $0.25, and it's so pretty! A bit thin to work with, but totally worth it for the multi-color effect it gives off.
And I finally got a proper crisp hinge! I think it really brings the whole book together, thank you knitting needles (even though you were a pain in the ass).
This project also marks my 100th book! I'm rapidly approaching the two year mark of my fanbinding career with no sign of stopping; thank you to this entire community, and all of the fandoms I've been able to bring this hobby to. I love how cross-fandom it is; and for an old floater like me, it's wonderful to bring all of my interests together and have something that transcends those lines.

The team that created Glaze is from the University of Chicago. Their names are each listed in full on the Glaze download website. (This group of students/professors did this for their SPRING BREAK đą so go give them some love lol)
It is free to download. No, they wonât ask for or raise money from/for this project.(stated by one of the lead professors of the project).
Glaze is designed to protect artistsâ STYLE--which a bunch of ai people have been deliberately fine-tuning their models to mimic (and specifically of current living artists--small or big).
It currently does not protect against composition/trace-like theft (as seen when run through img-to-img) but that would be protected by copyright anyway while STYLE is not.
The University Team has stated that they are dedicated to continuing to improve the tool, like fixing bugs (like overheating older computers by taking up lots of energy when Glazing--it currently runs on CPU so theyâre trying to change that to GPU, I believe) and expanding the type of protection given to artists (like working against img-to-img theft).
It currently only works directly on your computer (phones not advised due to current overheating issue, no tablets, or iPads, and no website runthrough since that would be insecure to breaches/scraping/hacks)
It currently works best on painterly artwork, but can still be used on other forms (team is working on improving this)
IT WORKS BY calculating the changes each image needs for the best protection against style theft by AI, and adds tiny changes throughout the piece, so that your style will, for example, confuse the ai into seeing van gogh. But the ai thieves will see a regular image in your style, feeding it into their model labeled as your work (thus starting the âdata poisoningâ).
Do not post the original unGlazed piece of your artwork after posting your Glazed version (obviously)
The Team worked directly with over 1,000 artists that were being impacted by the ai theft. Because the team listened to those artists, Glaze accounts for regular art thieves too (i.e. Glaze canât be removed/cropped etc. like signatures or watermarks when reposted. Itâs just part of the image, so even if it ends up on another site and scraped, the Glazing is still in effect)
When you run your artwork through Glaze, no information is sent back to the Team. (Aka, no scraping on their part. The app receives information from the Team (like updates) but no information from you is given to them through the app. Basically Team servers ---> You and NOT Team servers <--->You) One-way data street.
Brief misunderstanding happened over an open-source license for the front-end part of the app. (Used open-source coding for front-end, not knowing that codeâs use-license states it is only for other open-source uses, not closed-source (the back-end code of the app is private to prevent counter-counter measure developments)). The Team took down the app until they replaced the front-end code with code written from scratch by the team. They are now not in violation of that open-source license since they are no longer using it. (you have 30 days to remedy a license breach once informed; they did so in 2)
The Team is currently in touch with Japanese artists to better expand the tool for use to protect their art styles
From what I understand of it, Glaze is an AI tool designed to be anti-AI (Think Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 2: one Terminator robot vs. all the other Terminators đ)
