@actionjacquelyn on Spinal Warming 🔥 ・・・ IMPROVE YOUR SPINE in 1 minute!! Spinal Segmentation is key 🔑 to a healthy spine!! . You are only as healthy as your spine so putting in a minute of work into making sure your spine properly functioning is so important. . Did you know🤔... That each of your vertebrae should move independently of one another? Well now you know! . My video above will allow you to practice spinal segmentation (you’ll get better as you practice), but also use it as a diagnostic tool to see where YOU might be jammed up or have a lack of mind-body connection. . The stronger your mind-body connection is, the less injuries you’ll experience, and the more agility and strength you can tap into!! It really does all start with awareness and connection.... . Directions: 1. Place block between knees, knees under hips, and elbows on chair. (I’m using the chair to block the movement of my thoracic and cervical spine and just focus on lumbar) 2. Press elbows into chair, and begin breathing deeply into your low belly to help calm the nervous system down and allow your body to move fluidly. 3. Begin moving through your segmentation in your low spine, much like a yoga cat/cow, except your upper spine is blocked so you’re just moving lumbar. 4. Move AS SLOWLY as you can, moving just one vertebrae at a time. When you move quickly through this, that is usually a spot that can’t segment and that’s why the body wants to quickly “glaze” over it. 5. Continue breathing through the segments, repeat 3-10x. . If you notice I get a little stuck in the video on the last rep... I know I stand with a swayed lower back so this is definitely an exercise I need to do more often! .
