So after this mornings fancy #yogateacher Reclining Hero pose, here are the variations as promised. You can mix up and match props as you like, and I'm using a spare mat here rather than an expensive and unnecessary bolster, but the main thing is that you support your bottom so your knees aren't taking the weight. You can then add in various reclining options as you progress. One really useful tip with using a stack of blocks to sit on is that you can also squeeze them with your knees, to engage all the supporting muscles too.
