The bacon and caramelized Brussels sprouts in this crispy gnocchi dish give it a lot of flavor. This pasta dish is both comforting and classy, making it perfect for a cozy dinner.
Ingredients: 1 lb gnocchi. 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved. 6 slices bacon, diced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tbsp olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Grated Parmesan cheese for serving optional.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to boil the gnocchi. Remove the water and set it aside. Fry bacon bits in a big pan over medium-low heat until they are crispy. Take the bacon out of the pan and set it aside. Leave the bacon fat in the pan. Put olive oil into the pan with the bacon fat. Turn up the heat to medium-high. It will take about 8 to 10 minutes of cooking after adding the Brussels sprouts to the pan for them to start to brown and get soft. Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for another one to two minutes, until the garlic smells good. Put the bacon and cooked gnocchi back in the pan. Mix everything together and let it sit for about 5 minutes, or until the gnocchi are crispy. Add pepper and salt to taste. If you want, you can add grated Parmesan cheese on top while it's still hot. Have fun!
