Stained-glass window and tiled wall section from the Torre Bellesguard, also known as Casa Figueres, designed by Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona. The building was constructed between 1900 and 1909 and blends Modernism with Gothic architectural styles.
Mob violence is pretty much never acceptable but god does it feel so fucking good. It is the heroin of group activities
Like I'm being lighthearted but genuinely, it feels SO. GODDAMN. AMAZING. To be in a large group of people who are all wailing on a single person you've decided deserves it? Incredible fucking feeling. Nothing like it. You feel like you're in a fucking superhero team. Astonishingly hype.
But also I think it's important to keep that in mind, like, you're probably doing this bc of adrenaline. That person probably doesn't deserve it. I feel like it's important to admit when you're doing something not because it's Correct or justified but because it just feels good

Mutual pining is great, but you know what's even better? Mutual pining where they're both fully aware the feelings are requited, they just can't do anything about it for other reasons. Or maybe they technically could but they've had to choose not to, because of The Circumstances.

theres ALWAYS a relevant XKCD for everything huh

horniest battle moments:
- taking your ally's weapon out of their scabard to use yourself
- using someone else's shoulder as a rifle stand
- nudging someone's chin up with the tip of your weapon
- freezing with your blades against one another's throats, breathing into each other's mouths
If someone personally doesn’t identify as queer or want to be called queer, I can fully respect that, but a talking point I keep seeing from anti-queer LGBT people is that only a small sliver of identities or members of the community even fall under the label of queer, so using it as an umbrella term is just calling the majority of gay & trans people (the “normal” “respectable” ones) a homophobic slur to kowtow to a fringe minority.
This is false.
The grain of truth being misrepresented here is that, when asked if they identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, or something else, roughly 6% of LGBTQ+ folks identified as “something else”, including identities such as asexual, pansexual, or queer. The crucial word here, of course, is “or”.
Nearly half of people who identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bi, or trans (and the majority of them under 50) still say they consider themselves queer. It just isn’t instead of identifying as a lesbian, gay, bi, or trans.
The fact that we also have a more specific label doesn’t invalidate our use of “queer” as a general or umbrella term.
More than half of LGBTQ adults identify as bisexual, 40% are gay or lesbian, and 9% are transgender.
LGBTQ+ identification among U.S. adults has increased to 9.3%.
Want to draw your attention to this little tidbit, especially that bottom line. There are more masc non-binary people than femme non-binary people. Kinda flies in the face of all those people who tend to group non-binary people with women, huh?
“Just because you are different does not mean that you have to be rejected.” - Eartha Kitt
Also if you wanna go a little further back My Wife and Kids replaced Jazz Raycole with Jennifer Freeman. In fact, for the promotion of the show after the new Clare was cast, they didn’t even bother shooting new pictures; they just put Jennifer’s head on Jazz’s body.
#Facts If we are serious about inclusive representation, then we have to get into colorism and the erasure of darker-skinned Black female characters.
Another fact, Black Hollywood content creators often inflict this problem on their own. That’s why “Insecure”, “I May Destroy You”, “Selah and the Spades” and any number of recent TV shows and movies are important. And it is no coincidence that a lot of these new good projects are created by darker-skinned women who knows what’s up and are centering more sisters on the darker spectrum. Long overdue.
take the time to read this post it’s important
this is a really really important thing to talk about and something we have to keep talking about, especially when people fan-cast gugu mbatha-raw into roles originally written for dark-skinned black women. i see you, i get you, we all want gugu mbatha-raw in absolutely everything....but widen your pool and elevate dark-skinned black women too. colorism in hollywood is no fuckin joke and your fancasts can challenge that
feel like this is worth reblogging again especially considering we now KNOW Hollywood literally takes tumblr fancasts into account when casting popular shows (thanks Ben Barnes)
Sharing as a Black Actress who falls under the “Mixed” category. I have nothing to add, Cast Dark Skinned Black Girls & Women. There’s enough room for ALL of us.

This would be really funny if it weren’t an email from my bank.
You can actually predict bubbles, especially ones this obvious. Everyone who wants to know how should read A Short History of Financial Euphoria by John Kenneth Galbraith.
Yes, it’s dry.
Yes, it’s 30 years old.
But it gives a tidy little checklist of “is this a bubble?” and AI has been checking every one off like a to do list. Just like NFTs and ponzicoin did before it.
You can also read This Time Is Different: Eight Centuries of Financial Folly by Carmen Reinhart and Kenneth Rogoff. It's on bookshop.org and, of course, on the Evil Empire website. It's all in the title, which is an ironic quoting of people who say what bubble-istas always say - what AI people are saying right now.
Genuinely whatever
