AND THEN I READ AN ARTICLE ON IT AND THESE FUCKING PARAGRAPHS HIT ME LIKE A BUS

I made it pretty deep into the bushes until eventually I hit a clearing I’d never seen before, it was a big circle with no trees or bushes, but it was covered in green grass low to the ground like it had been maintained, in the center of the clearing was a deer skeleton, completely intact and solid white like it’d been bleached by the sun

The skeleton was what made me think the place was weird at first glance, the grass was even across the clearing including the grass around and under the bones, no extra growth from the nutrients from a whole deer, no weeds or extra plants, it was even and I didn’t think it should’ve been so I turned around

I went back later that day with friends to look for the clearing, searched for hours while I had people over but we never found it, and despite living next to that section of woods and going out there all the time I never saw it again, it’s not the only strange thing I saw in those woods but it was definitely the weirdest

Gabriel leaned back, staring up at the sky with his eyes slightly squinted. He was a bit light sensitive, to the point the sky made his eyes burn a little, but he was looking for shapes in the clouds. “Heh. That cloud looks like some guy riding an elephant.”

“What?” They looked up. “Looks more like someone giving a kid a piggyback ride to me.” Michael countered, smiling slightly. “And cheering while they do it. The arms are in the air.”

Gabriel snorted. “No, it’s definitely an elephant rider. How are you seeing that? There’s no fourth arm.”

“Well, not everyone has two arms, Gabe.” They argued back, certain of their own perception.

I had my (mod)ern friend illustrate this cloud of twofold appearances.

Sometimes, you just need it.

I'm a hobbyist mixologist, so sure as shit I can whip up something cool (as I mentioned multiple times), and one of the things I came up but haven't mentioned is the Abba Dabba.

I came up with that one as a variation of the cocktail I made up at the local bar, the Tom Hagen. Tom Hagen was a mash-up of Irish coffee and The Godfather, based on cold brew coffee and Jameson Stout Cask with some amaretto and cinnamon syrup. Going with the mob theme, the Abba Dabba is made with iced coffee and cinnamon whiskey (preferably JD Fire) instead:

120 ml iced coffee

40 ml cinnamon whiskey

20 ml amaretto

Stir with ice, serve in an Old Fashioned glass.

I still have half a bottle of coffee-flavored Kraken rum, and variation with that is gonna be Meyer Lansky.

And as for things to get shitfaced with, I have the Ohio Class for you.

a small (330ml) bottle of porter

80 ml of Kraken coffee-flavored dark rum

40 ml of amaretto

20 ml of cinnamon liqueur

Serve chilled in a large beer glass.

(I halfed the amount and didn't have specific cinnamon whisky, but everything else is on point)

An immortal wizard/sorcerer/mage, and the family of their most difficult, yet most memorable and loved student

Started as paying off a debt, or maybe fulfilling the last will, ended with every young generation reminding them so so so much of their beloved troublesome pupil (and every bringing another pin in the master's heart, showing who the student could have become, if they didn't follow the wizard). And so they stay, guard, teach and take care, generation after generation.
