I grew up watching classic Doctor Who, but it took one visit to the UK in the 80s for me to realize the show depicted some sort of spooky timeline in which aliens had spirited away nearly all the Brits of South Asian descent whose families in the real world have made tiny inroads into reversing the polarity of the colonialism flow.
