Most of the reasons I resent Bethesda's influence on Fallout boil down to "Bethesda is run by a bunch of mindless jerks and that's their target audience," when you get right down to it.
Actually, you know, that's not fair. The problem is that they are run by techbro capitalists who want every IP to be a stagnant money printer.
It's why Fallout 3 didn't really do anything all that interesting on its own; it's a wadded up ball of Fallout 1 and 2 shoehorned into Oblivion With Guns. This was the safest move they could've made on their investment short of returning to isometric gaming.
Fallout 4 was also as safe as possible, a technical refinement of the gameplay and graphics of 3 where the setting has been kept as static as possible. Further removed from the original games, it had even less to say than 3 and filled the void with more nonsense. Centuries after the bombs dropped, people raised in a stagnant wasteland need you, a civilian from modern society, to tell them how to grow tomatoes.
Fallout 76 was the apotheosis of Bethesda's Horse Armor DLC. Every developer that sucks wants to launch a Live Service model game that keeps players coming back and spending money constantly via microtransactions (and some not-so-micro) in exchange for nothing, and Fallout 76 was determined to, if anything, receive maximum money in exchange for less than nothing. It launched with a fraudulent preorder scam, something that I still believe Todd Howard should've seen the inside of a jail cell over. The game itself was utterly broken slop. Still, though, Bethesda slowly fixed it to a somewhat playable state, because they knew in the end, it would be worth it. And they would be right; Fallout 76 is still active with thousands of morons dutifully paying them money for santa hats and other garbage while they play the exact same, phoned-in "just after the bombs dropped" crap.
And, of course, we get to the Amazon Prime series where they made damn sure to obliterate everything Obsidian did with Fallout: New Vegas (and even retcon some of 1 and 2). The IP Must Remain Stagnant At All Costs. Isn't it funny that there's this guy in his underwear? He's pouring sand in a water filter and doesn't understand why it won't give him water! Haha! What a quirky wasteland guy! Be sure to buy a Vault Boy Funko Pop!

In the years that followed the Geneva Accords, both fell into the hands of oppressive authoritarian regimes. That of Ho Chi Minh, however, profited from some notable political advantages. While the North was devastated by the war and subjected to destitution rapidly worsened by communist economic policies, it became far more efficiently disciplined. Ho had spent less of his own life in Vietnam than had Ngo Dinh Diem. As victor in the independence struggle, however, he commanded immense prestige, and deployed his charisma and charm to formidable effect on the international stage. Moreover, by exercising iron control over information and access, North Vietnam veiled from foreign eyes its uprisings, purges, and killings. In the South, by contrast, the follies and cruelties of the Diem regime took place in plain view. Many peasants found Vietnamese land-lordism no more acceptable than the French variety but learned nothing of the worse plight of their Northern brethren. Only much later would Southerners come to look back on "the six years"—the period between 1954 and 1960—as a lost idyll, because relatively few of their countrymen killed each other.

Graham, 71, died Saturday night with a net worth of nearly $1.5 million
how does a senator earning $174,000 salary for thirty years remain so poor?
The senator, who never married and had no children, also owned a townhouse near the Capitol that was estimated at $890,000 in value, as well as a home in Seneca, South Carolina.
is that included in his net worth? because that would be most of it
