what is the origin of your blog name? It's another name for Arwen (meaning "Elrond's daughter"), which I was surprised hadn't already been taken on all the platforms I use.
what’s your “i will always order this” food? Whenever a café has matcha or hot chocolate with rose or lavender syrup.

what’s your current comfort:
show? Rings of Power and Lark Rise to Candleford (TV shows that treat their source material somewhat similarly; in this essay I'll. . .).
movie? The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
book? I don't think I can pick just a few because I've been reading a lot this past year, and I mostly pick things that I think I'll find comforting. But a few Tolkien books are definitely comfort reads, and Flora Thompson (especially The Peverel Papers) and Jane Austen, among others.
song you’ve had on repeat this week? I've somehow not listened to music this week, because I've spent most of my free time reading (and playing a bit of LotRO with @ofermod... so maybe the song I've had unintentionally on repeat is the Rivendell theme, because we keep going back there).
what’s the last thing you hyper fixated on? Re-reading all of Tolkien's works to make a complete list of plants and foods mentioned in Middle-earth. (I'm not sure whether it would be worth sharing, if I can figure out how to format it? But it might be useful for fic writers?) That was an offshoot of another fixation from the past few years: creating a Tolkien-inspired garden design for our house. And it's been a distraction from projects I should be fixating on (including a Rings of Power Quenya lyrics analysis/correction, and a very long alliterative poem in Quenya based on my favourite chapter of the Silmarillion).
oddly specific thing that brings you joy? Always burning a candle on one of the living room windowsills at night (next to my little secretary desk that I use for my laptop) because it's just the right amount of light to make that part of the house feel cozy.
what smell instantly makes you happy? Lavender and peonies.
something you loved as a kid that you secretly love now? I don't think there's anything I love secretly...
what’s your phone wallpaper right now? A default pink background. It matches the phone, which is also pink.
morning person, night owl, or something else? A night owl trying to be a morning person so I get enough sunlight during the winter.
if you work, what is your profession? do you like it? It's probably most accurate to say I'm a only housewife, but I still edit on a freelance basis (because I enjoy it) whenever work is available.
