Simon never liked to read.
Apparently, Simon can read, but is just reluctant to do so/doesn't like too, so I find it really cute to have Grace read to him while he listens... Especially before bed n stuff :)

Big Clockwork #2... Danny is his baby
i fuckin hate games where u furnish/decorate a house because it reminds me i truly have no fucking idea what youre supposed to have in a room
Saw this earlier:
So, gentle reminder/warning for beginner gardeners that rosemary, where perennial, will easily get 4 feet tall and wide with time. In fact, several of the plants pictured above want much, much more room than they've been alotted.
I beg of thee, as a life long gardener and landscaper, to consider the mature size of your perennials when you're making your garden plan. I love your enthusiasm and excitement, and I just don't want you to get disappointed by the results of a planting perennials this close together.
As an alternative to planting rosemary, sage, and lavender six inches apart thus leading them to a bitter fight for light and space, consider planting them far enough away that they can reach their mature size, and then plant annuals in between until they fill the space. Or, plant a low growing ground cover like creeping thyme or brass buttons or sedums. Or just plan to move the perennials when the time comes, but that's my least favored option.
You CAN build and grow a wonderful herb garden that will bring you joy, it's a fantastic idea, just, please, give the plants some space.
And reconsider planting the mint directly in the ground.

I’ve waited for three months to reblog this
if all you did this year was survive, I am proud of you
some meals that make it a little easier to cut food costs:
pizza (no knead dough, tomato sauce, cheese)
homemade bread (no knead | hand kneaded | stand mixer) (flour, yeast, water, sugar, salt) (if you struggle to get through homemade (preservative-less) bread before it goes stale, know that it freezes very well as long as you slice it first)
rice pudding (milk, rice, sugar, spices)
bread pudding (bread, milk, eggs, sugar, spices) (good way to use up homemade bread when it goes stale)
chili (meat (optional), onion, beans, canned tomatoes, spices)
meal prep fried rice (protein, rice, frozen vegetables, egg, spices)

Libraries and SO. MUCH. FREE STUFF!!!
I wanna emphasize to people who don't know this, but the library usually has a TON of free stuff. Not just books. But also books.
Here's a list of stuff you can get from Toronto Public Library specifically, but many of which are offered at public libraries in general.
Free books and ebooks and comics and audio books
Free Internet
Free Movies
Free Music
Free Access to Learning Databases
Free Equipment for audiovisual work (mics, recording booths, etc)
Free 3D Printers and maker spaces for fabrication
Free spaces to study and work
Free Access to Museums and Attractions
Free events in the city
Free classes and workshops
Free phone calls where someone will read you a story
Free Wifi hotspot you can borrow
If you're having a rough time with money, the library has you covered for most things that aren't groceries. It keeps people safe, educated, engaged, AND you can make amazing stuff with the resources they give you.
They can also educate you on financial literacy and other topics with their free workshops. I went to a tax workshop at the local library and learned a ton about how to do my taxes correctly.
You NEED to be aware of all the things your library can give you because this is where your taxes go and it can serve you in more ways than you can imagine.
Anyways :3333
I saw @pinkieriver 's post about a tiny little robot Caine being a little menace in Pomni's house and I was so inspired by it...... And I gave it a small story-
