I'm somewhat of an inverse doomsday prepper. I believe that there's an above zero chance that society will totally collapse within my lifetime, but instead of dedicating my life to building a doomsday shelter and preparing for whatever life comes after, I simply make no plans or preparations for more than six months into the future. I'm not going to regret failing to work harder to hoard more cans of beans, as much as I would regret not chilling and enjoying the good times while they lasted.
