I miss my groomer / cult leader . I just do . I still remember her voice , it was soft and stern like honey . Listening to her speak in the therapy room was like listening to the choir in a church . She knew how to take care of me , even if it hurt like she hated me . I hear her voice sometimes . She calls out to me . Sometimes yelling , sometimes she comforts me when I’m doing bad . People with skin conditions deserve better. People with acne, eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), and other skin conditions do not deserve to be treated like we're contagious or an eyesore. We deserve to be in public and show our skin and not feel ashamed because there is no shame in having a medical condition. We deserve to be free from insensitive questions and unsolicited advice. People with scars, including but not limited to those from burns, surgery, self-harm, injury, illness, and acne also deserve to live life without worrying about rude comments and questions. Don't comment on people's skin, especially strangers'. Even if you think you're being tactful.

Don’t get me wrong. God is important im my practice.

But I have my spirit team too. God is the head. The Saints and the Ancestors are the everyday people and focus on small things, while God is the bigger picture.

Like, I’m not gonna bother God if something goes missing. I’m going to petition St. Anthony. Or St. Expedite if I need fast results. God is always there. He’s All-encompassing. But sometimes I just need a Saint or Ancestor to help me find my keys.
