The Seven Deadly Sins (or Vices) and examples of each, in my opinion
Pride:
Believing you know more than God, bragadociousness, arrogance, self-righteousness, believing you are better or smarter than others, doing good deeds but only when others can see you doing it, doing "good" deeds but with evil intentions, religiosity > humanitarianism (no care for your fellow man and insisting its because of religious reasons), demanding total submission from everyone--self-idolatry--and asserting yourself as the only authority above God and His appointed ones.
Envy:
Being consumed with jealousy to the point it harms your relationship with God and others, feeling angry over others successes while intentionally ignoring your own, pointless rivalries over things you cannot control, seeking revenge over pointless matters.
Wrath:
Murder, holding grudges, feeling angry and resentful toward God when He will not punish people you feel are inherently unrighteous, vindictiveness, actively seeking revenge, poisonous and blind rage.
Sloth:
Neglecting prayer and fellowship with fellow believers (if such is within your control), not caring about others, apathy toward the suffering of others, having the attitude of "it is not my problem if I do not personally experience it", ignoring those who are suffering especially when you are able to act in their aid.
Avarice
Extreme wealth hoarding, the insatiable desire for money and material things to the point of harming people and the environment, selfishness, the corruption of political figures, accepting bribes to look the other way instead of acknowledging wrongdoing/crime, building your wealth on the backs of the less fortunate, stealing from impoverished people/communities
Gluttony
The act of knowingly eating/drinking to excess to the point of losing control of your impulses (and therefore impeding your free will), failure to master physical desires. DOES NOT include addictions or eating disorders, as those are matters of mental health.
Lust
Rape and molestation, marital rape/rape of the spouse, being a peeping tom, consuming pornography excessively, sexual coercion, pedophilia, exposing yourself sexually to others without their consent, getting married for the sole purpose of having sex with someone and not because you love them, stealthing (faking taking birth control, poking holes in the condom, or slipping the condom off secretly during sex) in order to facilitate pregnancy when your partner does not want children after leading them to believe you also do not want children. In my opinion, sex before marriage often is not included as a form of lust in certain contexts.
The Seven Holy Virtues and examples, in my opinion
Humility
It is NOT thinking of yourself as less, but rather, being honest about who you are and thinking about yourself and what you want less often. It includes modesty, not being flashy nor flaunting what you have. Humility includes being mindful of God and the needs of His creation and not puffing yourself up to look better in front of others.
Kindness
It is a fruit of the spirit and stretches beyond being nice. It includes generosity, including those who are usually excluded (such as queer and trans individuals, the poor, disabled/ill, and elderly), having a kind temperament, and being slow to anger. However, this does not include tolerating or including people who wish to systematically harm others UNLESS they have proven they have or wish to change.
Patience
Another fruit of the spirit and also stretches beyond the surface-level ability to just wait. It is the ability to endure the hard times, the unwillingness to give up on more difficult matters (such as hard times during marriage, like during fights... NOT including withstanding abuse, maltreatment, or adultery), and staying calm when dealing with people who are being intentionally difficult or when dealing with people who are trying to get a rise out of you. It is the willingness to push forward and do what is right even when it is hard, especially when it takes a long time.
Diligence
This ties into patience! It is when one gives steady effort and applied, energetic skill to a task at hand and can be applied to material, immaterial/emotional, and spiritual matters. It is the opposite of laziness--the willingness to put in the necessary hard work in order to achieve something. In addition to this, it is the willingness to do what is right even when tangible rewards are nil; it is the hard work we do in order to feel fulfilled and pleasing in the eyes of the Lord.
Temperance
This is also a fruit of the spirit! It is self-control and the moderation we exert over our everyday actions so as to not fall into the sin of gluttony. When we rein in our impulses and more frivolous desires/passions and focus on the Lord, we tend to have more level heads and the ability to remain in control of our consciousness and free will.
Abstinence
No, not like "abstinence is the only 100% effective form of birth control" (the Blessed Mother would like a word with whoever coined that phrase!), but it is more like committing to the voluntary choice to stop or reduce doing/consuming certain things if we feel we are dishonouring ourselves (and, by extension, the Lord). This can include drugs, alcohol, food, sex, shopping, and even playing video games! It is an act of discipline, rather than a tangible goal. An example of temperance includes my personal effort to stop following so many NSFW and porn blogs because I felt like it was dishonouring my mind, body, and soul (and, by extension, dishonouring the Lord). There is nothing wrong with sex and sexuality, but anything can be done in excess and it is wise to remember to rein yourself in before things have the chance to get too messy, or even become an addiction!
Chastity
Okay, so this one is more closely tied to sex--sort of. It is in reference to keeping/maintaining moral and spiritual purity, and by extension, avoiding things that cause you to commit lust. Muslims have a fantastic way of thinking (for men and women both), called lowering your gaze, and places the blame for lust on the luster and not for the one they are lusting after--it emphasizes that the one committing lust is the one dishonouring the person's object of lust, and not the person being lusted after.
Chastity includes being open about if you both want children during marriage, not committing rape, honouring your and your spouse's bodily autonomy, placing emphasis on consent for ALL activities (not just sexual or romantic), getting married because you are genuinely and mutually in love, and getting psychological/therapeutic help if you experience violently indecent thoughts/tendencies (DOES NOT INCLUDE CONVERSION THERAPY, a largely harmful and provably pseudoscientific practice). True chastity is respecting the profound and innate dignity of another human being instead of reducing them to an object of sexual pleasure and desire.
