Marcus had interrupted Sydney trying the lamb dish Carmy is stuck on to ask about caramel recipes and he told him to check the New York notebooks. Episode 7 is called Caramel.

I think Marcus will be looking through those notebooks in the office in an earlier episode and Sydney sees a drawing of the hamachi dish and tells him that was the one. And then maybe Marcus tells Carmy about it later or he's just there having a mental crash out in front of them cause there's no way she's the one who ate it and then she shows him the picture of it on her phone.

Syd's cola braised short RIBS's recipe included soda and raspberries from 1x5 and Carmy's S4 Lamb dish he was stuck at, after the wedding, inspired by Syd's dress, included a Mint reduction

And that she is shown using for a dish of the new menu in S5's teaser #2.

Which connects Carmy's lamb with Carmy's CARAMEL that she makes, for his lamb that she "cracks up" with the spoon he gave her.

Which I'm sure is what 5x7 is all about

Then he was depressed all season 3 and even a bit offended that she didnt think he could get the star and some people say it had more so to do with challenging chef david assumption. But that's bullshit because he didnt want the star to begin with. He asked her you dont think I can do it is pretty much a man telling a girlfriend you dont think I can fulfill this need for you?

In contrast, the show wrote Claire as a bad doctor, not only because she is reckless, but because she (apparently) lacks the knowledge, self reflection and curiosity to be good at her job or get better. Claire was completely wrong about Emmanuel’s diagnosis, @sonoranbumblebee mentioned this too, there is not such thing as a first degree heart block. There could be something sinister going on with her, part of me thought that she may have been lying to Syd on purpose though I don’t see the logic on that. Is very likely that she is not very smart or just lacks the commitment to learn things beyond what she needs to just get by (honestly that theory that she is not even a doctor would make the most sense to me right now cause I don’t have an explanation of how she can be at the end of her residency in an ER not knowing the basic heart conditions). Maybe she is struggling with addiction and that makes her bad at her job, maybe she is truly dumb or just doesn’t make the effort to learn more.

It is the last season, yet some are acting media-illiterate or new to storytelling, and you are ruining the vibe. Change it tomorrow.

Because unless you all need to do a rewatch on where we left it at a cliffhanger between SYDNEY AND CARMY. There's no cliffhanger with Richie because Richie had closure with Carmy; it wasn't Natalie because she already has reached an understanding about Carmy's mental check-out no cliffhanger with Donna. After all, they talked, and he made her dinner, and she wants to know him. Or Claire, they had their last dance at the wedding.

Things are left unsaid between Sydney and Carmy. He gave her everything, basically his heart, his restaurant, his everything. A man so confused about relationships and friendships, and all he knows is that he wants to give her something so cherished.

We left it at this. This is what Carmy still has going on in his inner world and psyche, even with the last shift tomorrow.

He's left with this information that Sydney doesn't need him, as she confirmed, but she wants his presence. Mind you he hasn't yelled or fought with sydney was even trying to be gentle with this argument. The only time he's screamed all season is becaude she doesn't see how he is leaving for their relationship.

We left it at Sydney panicking, and he's left thinking they do not have a personal relationship outside of work like he assumed. He was so hurt that he couldn't really look at Sydney.

When he finally could look her straight in the eye, she confirmed it. She does not need him. You remember how his tone dropped? That's what's what you want. He's giving her everything each season, if that's what you want? The resentment and kinda dead realization in it. She doesn't need him, and that's okay for him. But he wants her to want him.

There's this very last shift happening where it's full of chaos, and carmy comes in and tells Sydney, " Whatever you need (though you don't), I'm here."

As Fak panics, probably the first episode- She tells him about the basement, and he agrees with her... They clearly have tension here, and it has to do with a personal relationship, and he's going to try to stay professional with Sydney. This is their last shift, and he's left at Sydney, telling him he's not a friend. That she doesn't need him and she could have potentionally wanted Richie to be there and to show up for her all the time, Richie, who has met her father before Carmy could. ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS NEGATIVITY?
