Something that I've noticed with the Deltarune fandom and Jongler is that they - intentionally or not - erase the fact that they're okay with masculine terminology (NOT the same as pronouns/identity) while still being enby.
[THEY USE THEY/THEM. PLEASE DO NOT HE/HIM THEM ON THIS POST, THIS IS ABOUT THEM BEING A MASC TERM-USING ENBY.]
I see this often in different fandoms, where they often forget that the fact someone being okay with more gendered terms and them being enby aren't seperate things.
In other words, that someone can use and feel included in masculine terms such as "cowboy" or "[the] boys" while still not being male or using "he/him".
I see the Deltarune fandom unintentionally erase that aspect to Jongler, instead opting for terms like "cowpoke" or "cowthey" (which I once got corrected with after using "cowboy," despite that being the term used in-game.)
It's well-intended and done to be inclusive, but ends up as erasure of nonbinary inclusion in more gender-neutral terms, solely because they end up masc or fem (such as "guys," "dude," or "bro," which are masc, but often used in a gender-neutral way.) Excluding someone from a term used in the source material, as inclusive as you want to make it out to be, ends up making that kind of person in reality feel excluded too.
Remember, you can have good intentions and still accidentally take part in erasure.
Let nonbinary people be included in terms. Please.
