Identity of the Day
Aegosexual
Type: Sexuality
Definition: Aegosexual, also called Anegosexual, is a label with multiple meanings. This label may be used by those who like sex as a concept and enjoy content about it but experience no sexual attraction or desire to be one of the parties involved, those who enjoy sexual relationships as an idea but have to desire to be in one, those who feel sexual attraction only in scenarios where they are not involved, those who feel fully disconnected from the object of their attraction, or those who only want to be involved in sexual scenarios in their fantasies. It is a part of the Asexual umbrella. Those who are Aegosexual may fall under other Asexual identities such as Demisexual or Greysexual, but not all will. Not all who are Aegosexual are Aegoromantic.
Flag(s):
This is the Aegosexual flag made by hunterinabrowncoat in July 2014. The meaning of this flag has changed from its original. The current meaning of the flag is the triangle being used to represent an inversion of asexuality, where Aegosexuals are more likely to be seen as allosexual by others and even by themselves due to the experience of a directed arousal and interest in sexual content or fantasies. The color meanings represent the same as the original Asexual flag, with the black representing complete asexuality, the grey representing greysexuality, the white representing allosexual partners, and the purple representing the asexual community as a whole.
This is an alternate Aegosexual flag, made before or during August 2020 by an anonymous user who is Aegosexual. The colors, in order, represent:
Community
The Asexual spectrum
A disconnect between ones self and ones attraction
Asexuality
The flag than repeats the first, second, and third stripe in reverse.
This is another alternate Aegosexual flag, made in August 2020 by xeno-aligned. It keeps the original flags design but with the colors of the alternate flag.
