You got this for fun, for fun, you say.

To entertain yourself in Minecraft, you reasoned.

But why does it feel so infuriating rather than funny? Why overstimulating rather than peaceful?

Those thoughts run through your mind as you watch through your screen the death screen before you.

Knocker had killed you for the nth time; you lost count of how many times at this point.

Not just that, you forgot to set your spawnpoint on the bed placement of your bed, making you spawn back at the world’s spawn, many coordinates away from your base.

“That fucking bastard…” You cursed; the only good thing about this was that you saved and captured your base’s coordinates; you just hoped you wouldn’t get killed—again—on the way.

Shit cannot get worse now, can it?

Well, to you, it just did.

As you reached your supposed base, you found nothing but mere blocks of whatever material you used for your base.

All but your bed was—what looked like—bombed and destroyed, with Knocker standing close by, that signature grin across his pale face.

He wanted you to get mad, scream at him before he walked away; you couldn’t hit him, knowing well he’d kill you again.

Your chests—filled with whatever ores and minerals you’ve gathered—were gone too, possibly blown off along with most of your base.

Having nothing else in this world game, you snapped.

“Alright,” you muttered as you stared at the sight, “Have fucking fun in this world,” and, with that, you left the world and, a second later, the game too.

Staring at the reflection of your face on your monitor’s screen, you sighed and got up from your desk and left.

All the while, you didn’t know Knocker had heard you—he always hears you through your avatar.

Knocker, at first, smiled even bigger. He has successfully pissed you off once more.

What he didn’t know was how serious I was about what I chose to do, and what he did will come biting him back in the ass.

Hour 1 = 3 Minecraft Days later

Knocker knew the time between your real-life time and Minecraft’s time, and that a day in yours is at least months on his end.

But he’ll endure. Like how many times he has whenever he pisses you off.

Day 3 = 216 Minecraft Days

For a moment, Knocker thought, pondered.

It should’ve been a few days since you last joined; hell, you haven’t even opened Minecraft since then.

Maybe he went a bit far, he thought.

No, it can’t be; you handled other things worse than him in the game. Surely, you won’t quit over some grieving, right? Right?

You’ll come back, right?

1 Week.

504 Minecraft days.

Where were you?

It has surely been a week on your end; where the hell are you?

You still haven’t joined the world again, let alone open the damn game. Have you even booted up your pc the entire week?

As much as he doesn’t want to admit it, he's getting lonely.

Too lonely.

Even the mobs surrounding the once-built base of yours don’t amuse him anymore.

Surely, you’d come back; you have to. Why else did you download his mod and add him to this world?

At least open up the game. You don’t have to join the world he is in; maybe a new world or something.

Just please…

Week 2… 1008 Minecraft days.

He’s going to break, like actually.

He had to do something, but what? You won’t even open the damn computer, so how can he even reach out?

There, on the bed that was supposed to be yours, he pondered, hell, even begged.

Come back.

Open the computer, open Minecraft, anything.

Just don’t leave for something as stupid as him destroying your base; something as stupid as him.

He stared at the small flowers and torches he had placed where you had last stood before leaving, yet he remained lying on your bed.

Maybe, just maybe, he can reach out.

To you.

You sighed, entering your room.

It has been 2 weeks since you last booted up your PC. You didn’t know how exactly you spent 2 weeks without using your PC, but you did, and now you can play some games again.

Specifically, Minecraft.

For a moment, after booting up your computer, you paused, your clicker hovering over the Minecraft logo.

“I guess, I’ll just make a new world… I can’t handle this trolling shit,” you muttered under your breath as you clicked on the minecraft software.

You waited as the mojang screen loaded until…

.

Blank.

A blank screen.

“What the…” You whispered, looking at your pc; it was still on, yet the screen held nothing.

Then, static.

Full-on black and white static across your monitor’s screen.

“The hell…?” Did you get a virus? How the hell- is that a hand?

Through the monitor, a hand emerged, reaching out.

Giving no chance, you got out of your chair and backed off, thinking whether you should run already or think of this as all a dream.

“Screw it,” you muttered before leaving your room, going elsewhere to find anything to use against the man seemingly getting out of your monitor.

And, whoever it was, it was quick to get out as, barely a minute later, there were footsteps coming from your room.

You soon opted to grab a knife from your kitchen. But just as you reached for one, a hand stopped you.

Not knowing who or what, you swung with your other hand, hitting whoever it was, but they were strong; they barely budged from the side attack.

You swung again, only for the being to kneel in front of you. One hand held your wrist while the other held the hem of your shirt.

You had to pause from swinging another hit towards the guy.

Then–

Wait a moment, why does he…

“... Do what you will…” he spoke, low and quiet, hands gripping hard but not enough to hurt your wrist.

“Just… Come back…”

What?

“... ‘Come back’...?” you repeated, brain still processing most of what was happening. Then, it clicked.

He came out of your computer just as you tried opening Minecraft, the same game you haven’t touched in the past weeks, and he looked… Extremely like–

“... You’re Knocker…” you stated, your non-held hand going slack beside you as he just nodded in reply. All this for 2 weeks without playing?

Then again, it would be a year or so in Minecraft days.

“Hit me, kick me, anything… Just… Be there…” he whispered, head leaning against you.

“Play the game… Join a world, even if it’s not where I am…”

You listened to the man, seemingly Knocker from your damn world, and really pondered.

Would this mean he was sorry for griefing your base?

But, from the looks of it, you already have an answer.

“So… How would you… Go back…? To the world, I mean,” you asked, staring at the man—Knocker—who is now sitting on your bed; just like he does in your world.

The man only tilted his head in response.

You crossed your arms at that. “Really? Back to the silent thing?” you asked.

Knocker only shrugged, a smile on his face.

A sigh came from you in return, “Whatever, knock yourself out, I guess…” you said before sitting down on your desk seat.

Yet, not even a second later, you found Knocker behind you, his hands placing themselves against yours.

For a moment, you didn’t understand what he was trying to do; then he started to tug on you towards your bed. Does he want you to lie down?

And, before you knew it, you were lying down with Knocker.

Confused, you wanted to check for a moment that this man wouldn’t do anything. Then, you noticed how he was, curled and holding onto you.

All you could do was pat this man, soothe him the best way you can.

Well, this might as well be your life now.

But who would’ve thought this is the same being who terrorized your entire being in Minecraft?

One quirky way of showing your love, I guess.
