It's so frustrating being in the OFMD fandom as an aromantic, cuz the majority are into it for the romance and the shipping and while I don't have any problem with that, it's not the thing that drew me in. So now that everybody has moved onto heated rivalry and is hounding me to get into it. It's like, no explanation is good enough. I'm aro. I generally don't like the romance genre and I get squicked out by too much fluff and not enough plot and conflict. Like, I'm glad y'all love it and I don't want to yuck your yum, I just want people to accept that we can bond over so many things, but this will not be one of them. It's getting to the point that every time some is like omg you HAVE to watch it, I'm just gonna Not watch it even harder and with more intent just to spite them. Cuz I know if I do watch, it's gonna be a hate watch and then when my friends ask me what I thought, I'm either gonna have to shit on it or keep my mouth shut.
Let people like what they like, but for the love of God, let people dislike what they dislike if it's not hurting anyone!
