it was pokemon for me

First anime was actually Dirty Pair, because seeing cartoons in the scifi section and not the kids section at the video rental store in the 90s made teen me instantly curious.

My first wasn’t actually my first. I watched the likes of Pokemon and Cardcaptors before I even knew what Anime truly was. Hell, I didn’t start learning what Anime was until I watched my SECOND Miyazaki film! My first being Kiki’s Delivery Service. Then when my mom bought me Mononoke-Hime, my eyes were open to some strange and wondrous worlds! And I wanted more! I saw the creator, looked up his filmography, and the gate to the world of Anime was thrown wide! I have not looked back since!
