isn't the whole point of punk nonconformity? anarchy, spreading compassion, individualism? being true to yourself? i'm pretty sure you would be less of a punk if you wore the stereotypical all black, ripped stuff. a shirt that has punk stuff printed on it or clothes that have faux rips that go on to be mass produced is way less punk than mending clothes yourself or getting secondhand.

"i hate when people compare me to other artists" your audience likely lacks the vocabulary to articulate what those similarities are and why they resonate with the art bc arts education has been in the toilet for 60 years. they are complimenting you using language available to them under a framework unique to their personal experiences. what you want is a collection of dolls with a pull string you can use to elicit specific praises.

just saw disney picked up the warrior cats animated adaptation

#slop time...................this is gonna change the vibe of things in a way. not so enjoyable i think #i don't even keep up with warrior cats anymore i just saw this and was immediately like nooo nooo my warrior cats followers #anyway. i'm mainly disappointed because. well. does anyone following me even actually like disney. i feel like you all understand #censorship marketability watering down substance. etc etc. supposedly it's going to be played alongside shows for very young children too #which warrior cats is a children's series ofc. but. well. if i'm remembering right it's rated 12+#the whole series is based in an idea of politics. which is badly written a lot of the time but still it's purposeful #and even aside from the more complex stuff going on narratively. there is of course. the violent gore that happens once a book minimum #idk why i'm rambling so much i think it just miffs me seeing a series i grew up on that so many people recognize has Something Going For It #get bought out by what is currently the “what if we simplified this as much as possible and designed everyone to sell plushies of” company #granted they're not the ones actively making it. but to be hosting it they're gonna want a certain look. it's disney #I WILL ADD ☝️ they do of course also host bluey. and everyone knows bluey fucks. understandably so #but that's also a show already purposefully created for a very young audience that isn't quite literally dependent on violence #warrior cats is very recognizably the “i hope there's no Blood And Guts - oh no it's Blood And Guts” series #idk. from what i can see disney is dropping pretty hard right now aside from very young children and people otherwise emotionally dependent #even people that don't actively dislike them (which is the majority) are just. bored of them #and i think they know that. truthfully i think that's why they're buying this in the first place lmao #“please everyone give us more disney+ and merch money so we don't actually have to start treating our artists decently”#and the worst part is. it will probably work. but what ever 🧘‍♂️#riot rambles
