Ninja King of the Pirates

I really did need this relatively empty Saturday. Even if I did stay up later than intended due to helping a friend in Japan figure out their streaming setup (which was a lot of fun). I think today was the first time I was able to set up my VR stuff in like a month, and despite the setbacks with Skyrim the other games were still good fun!

Today was weird for a Friday. Got my haircut and ran errands way earlier than usual due to lack of choice of appointment slot. Was informed that my new car's registration was ready to pick up when I was expecting it to be mailed, so I had to take an hour to go get it and come back, which allowed me to go shopping again to get the one thing I missed. But everything worked out time-wise and I even got some work done in between it all. So not a bad day!

Though tomorrow (Friday) will be weirdly busy, this is my first weekend with no plans since my birthday 4 weeks ago. I'm going to have an edible. I'm going to play VR games. I'm going to RELAX! And it will be nice!

Y'know, I'm honestly curious. We have all these delusional tech companies forcing GenAI down our throats and opting us in for AI features nobody asked for and the vast majority of people hate with a reasonably blinding passion. If just killing the people making these decisions is too extreme a solution, how likely is it to just sue them into the ground? The People vs NVIDIA, for example? The People vs Twitch? The People vs Amazon? The People vs Twitter? I don't know exactly how the law works in the case of lawsuits for the public interest, but that won't stop me from asking. These companies and the people in charge should have their vast wealth redistributed among the people and stripped down to the point where they only do what they're supposed to do rather than exploit us for their shareholders' benefit. The people forcing all of our content into the Plagiarism Machine should burn in hell before they die, is what I'm saying.

I came back from vacation thinking I was horribly sunburnt, but it ended up not nearly as bad as I thought. Only part bad enough to peel is my shoulder, and my arms got noticeably tan! And thanks to sleeveless shirts, it's not a farmer's tan! Just wish my chest had gotten some of that color, though, but I'll take what I can get.

My dentist appointment today was a lot less torturous than expected, and after the initial exam I was informed that "if this is all we're seeing and it's been 10 years since you last saw a dentist, you've been taking very good care of your teeth!" The reassurance was ABSOLUTELY necessary for my current mental state, and I walked out feeling good!
