Ninja King of the Pirates

Going back to CTCon for the first time since before the pandemic, it's gonna be a blast! Absolutely nerve-wracking and stress-inducing, but I am determined to have fun despite it all! If any of my old con friends are going, I hope I see you there!

Took a much longer walk than usual today, over to the nearby Marshall's to look for two things I wasn't expecting to find... only to find both! Shorts, for cosplay purposes! My old jorts for Luffy don't fit anymore, and they have now been replaced! And now I have the option to not wear long pants for my other cosplay! I have prepared all I possibly can for CTCon this weekend!

No stream tonight! I ended up doing a bunch of things that only left me with an hour left on my normal stream time, so it's not worth it. If I have enough time tomorrow I'll be starting up the AC: Shadows final update, and then I'll be offline until Monday!

I finished Crimson Desert tonight! At least to the point of streaming it, there is indeed still more content for me to complete, but it's all minor side content and checklists at this point. What a fantastic game! It's absolutely chock full of content, with countless ways to play, and an overarching story that puts context to everything (as long as you actually pay attention to the lore and are completionist enough to get the true ending, at least)! One thing I will say is, do not concentrate on the main story and nothing else, the side content is 100% necessary to enjoy this game. On its own the story is good, but a bit shallow. Kliff doesn't talk as much as he should, and the other playable characters Damiane & Oongka don't get enough screentime for their own content, but as long as you're in a part where you have access to them it's quite fun to try out their different playstyles! I still plan on playing the game here and there to go check some boxes, as well as re-decorate the cabin now that the camp moved, and hopefully complete more challenges as I explore. You can easily sink hundreds of hours into this game and still have more to find! I certainly did! Highly recommended!

I think I have only one stream left for Crimson Desert, to complete the Epilogue and get the true ending! But I realized (too late to mention on stream) that I may not get home tomorrow early enough to stream as I'll be going to the dealership straight from work to get my new car! I also have to attempt a shopping trip in the next few days, so we'll see if we do both tomorrow or I do that another night this week out of the 3 I have available. If that, plus my haircut on Wednesday, means I only have one night to stream this week, so be it! CTCon is coming and it's more important that I'm prepared for that!

In today's gaming news, I hit the credits in Crimson Desert (still have the epilogue to play through, though!), and I had a lot of fun playing YapYap with a few friends tonight! About time I got to try that game out, we may not have found the most destructive spells but we certainly had fun with the silly ones! Hope we get to play again!

Turns out, when gin is mixed well in a cocktail, it isn't gross anymore! In fact the cocktail was quite delicious! As I had hoped! (I mixed a cherry Bramble, it looked weird but tasted great!) My birthday was, as expected, quite low-key. Sushi for my big lunch, watched the last episode of The Wonderfools (a pretty fun Korean limited series on Netflix), phone calls with my family, stream as normal. More small fun things to happen over the weekend! Welcome to 35!
