AH yes! Nalby headcanons! Haven't been in the TMR mood in a bit, so please accept my Nalby headcanon offerings:

It took them too long to get together. Like. Way too long. They were stupid in love and super unaware the other one felt that way for, like, months and months. Alby would stand outside the Maze biting his nails waiting for Newt to come back. Like. He was worried about all of the Runners. But especially Newt.

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this one before, but they're big cuddlers. Trade off being big and little spoon, sometimes no spooning is involved at all, but they just love to cuddle whenever they can.

Alby always tries to give Newt the better half of anything he has - rations, the nicer side of the blanket, the pillow that DOESN'T smell like mildew, but he will deny it if you try to make him admit it. Newt knows and will occasionally try to beat him to things first just so Alby gets a turn on the better half of a thing.

They'd daydream a lot about their future together - their family, their house, how they'd put pictures and names up on the mantle, the quilt that they'd make together, the dog they'd have. Stuff like that.

Newt talks in his sleep and it's always something really sweet that he wouldn't be caught dead saying in real life.

In different circumstances they would 110% be into cottagecore. But if there's anything even remotely like the canon stuff with WICKED no way no how (whether in a world where they both made it out alive, or in an AU) but without the trauma, they would love cottagecore.

And also road trips.
