something about Toy Story toys is so strange to me. versions of animated characters based on real world toys, turned back into toys that are slightly different than the actual toys. slinky dog with a rubber spiral instead of a classic metal slinky. the porcelain bo peep and cloth woody turned into jointed plastic action figures. when toy story 4 came out and i saw a $30 talking action figure of forky, a character made out of a spork and a pipe cleaner, i stood in the walmart toy aisle staring at it like cameron from ferris bueller's day off staring at that painting in the art museum
I do think the ability to emoji-react is a net win for human communication. not only does it give you an outlet for 'I see and acknowledge this but don't have a verbal response' but it also adds a pleasing alethiometer element to things
my coworker announces that he's off to the dentist. someone reacts with a tooth emoji. is this a statement of dentist solidarity? a wish for my coworker to return with more (or fewer?) teeth than he set out with? simple word association? who can say

Men det Àr förstÄeligt eftersom de har det lite kÀmpigt med ekonomin, och det Àr dessutom högst valfritt om man vill betala för tidningen - visst kan man prenumerera, men tidningen finns ocksÄ att hÀmta gratis pÄ diverse stÀllen Ätminstone i de större stÀderna, och den digitala versionen lÀser man ocksÄ alltid gratis pÄ qx.se (sÄ du kan lÀtt spana in vad du tycker om balansen). Jag upplever ocksÄ att de Àr rÀtt noga och involverade med vad för reklam de tar in, den kÀnns ofta vÀldigt anpassad till mÄlgruppen.
QX förlorade sitt presstöd just för att de Àr undermÄliga nÀr det kommer till reportage. TyvÀrr Àr det en kritik jag hÄller med om, det Àr extremt livsstilsscentrerat, Àven om jag tycker att de ocksÄ ger exempelvis en del goda profiler och Àr ett viktigt organ för hbtq-sverige. Om det Àr mer rapporterande journalistik man Àr intresserad av sÄ tipsar jag om Ottar, som Àr mer brett sexualpolitiskt och sexualkulturellt riktad, med tema för olika nummer. Mycket material finns online gratis.
Slowly catching up on posting my playlists. This one came to me summer-fall of 2023, right as the tides turned: I had somewhat of a crash-out, got supremely dumped, had a meetcute at the karaoke bar and was incredibly sad. Except for when I wasn't. I hadnt yet worn that feeling down. It's a melancholic and at times coarse playlist but it's not particularly sad. Staring into the abyss or something.
