reads and hears the same thing in the news: ilya rozanov absent for his father’s death. he didn’t care enough to come be by his dying father’s side. left the family burdened with it. he did not honour his father. what an ungrateful son. how arrogant. put hockey over family.
and he sinks into it, into all these terrible things people are saying about him, and he thinks, yes, this is me, this is who i am, an ungrateful son who abandoned his sick and dying father, arrogant, i didn’t want to talk to my brother so much i forgot about my dying father, i ignored i have a dying father, i put it off for so long and now—
and then his phone flashes with a missed call from shane—a missed call, they don’t do that, they don’t call each other, but shane did, shane called, and something fucking comes undone in him. it’s big. enormous. it unspools quicker and quicker and he doesn’t know how long he can keep it in. but he’s calling shane back, and shane says sorry when he hears about his father’a death. he says sorry and you should take more time and i want to help, and ilya thinks that maybe what everyone is saying about him isn’t true, and maybe for the first time, he really believes that.

Today I wanted to talk about Kyle Bassinga. Kyle was a 21 year old man from Georgia, whose family described him as "a kind, thoughtful, and smart young man who loved nature, music, and the people around him". Kyle Bassinga was killed on February 18th 2026, just ten days after his birthday. He was found hanging from a tree in a park.
The police ruled it a suicide. The family and local community demanded an investigation. The police refused to change their ruling.
I know this website it too white for this to really go anywhere, but an understanding of the present reality of white supremacy in the United States is just so important to transfeminism here. Lynchings never stopped, white supremacy never went away, you just stopped looking.
Do you know what’s crazy annoying to me? Non-Black people treating Black music as a joke. Like, September by Earth, Wind & Fire is a joke. Hey Ya by Outkast is a joke. WAP is a joke, X Gonna Give it To Ya is a joke. It’s just so weird to me, because in Black culture, these songs are just songs. They’re kickback songs and songs we play with our friends. And what’s super frustrating is that no other culture has thing done with their music, it’s just our stuff that’s funny because it’s Black. It gives me such a headache like! Black musicians aren’t a joke, Black art isn’t a joke. Why is everything we do to express ourselves (or even just our existence) a fucking meme? Why aren’t we allowed to be human beings with depth and culture?
see every time i see this status i get angry because i’ve played through literally every scenario in rct1 and there is no place where this is a thing. there is never more than one park per map. and in rct2 you can’t make that happen i the scenario editor either. it is not remotely within the game’s functionality to simulate two discrete parks and these games were coded in assembly for christ sake so it’s not like someone modded it in by adding the line “int const TOTAL_NUM_POSSIBLE_PARKS = 2;”. there is no conceivable way this post is anything close to true and even though i know how writing all this out reflects upon me as a person and even though i know exactly how meaningless and trifling of a takedown attempt this is on some random facebook screencap with hundreds of thousands of notes im going to post it anyway because i’m too petty to have any say in the matter
