In revelator and secret protocol Alya is able to maintain an illusion with divided focus with her having an entire conversation that has nothing to with what she’s making her illusion do in revelator and he being able to have the illusion react in real time to the lucky charm in Secret protocol

Her being able to control illusions without breaking focus on other things is so insane her brain is stronger than everyone else in that show combined for her to be able to do that

In nemesis she’s able to conjure a mirage so real that Chrysalis was able to akumatize it which raises so many questions and makes the fox miraculous so much cooler.

My personal headcannon as to why this worked is that Alya was able to channel her own negative emotion into the illusion which attracted the akuma and that Alya was partially effected by the akuma with how genuinly angry she got playing the role of nemesis

As for how the wind shield affected things in just gonna file that under the rooster bold clause

Like, on top of what OP is saying, I feel like people take misogynists at their word about their desires way too much. I would say its not just that misogyny isn't socially punished, but that misogyny and toxic masculinity are the only conceptual tools many cis boys & men have to make sense of their internal and external experiences.

There are a lot of cis men who would insist they just want to get laid and engage in sexual objectification of people they see as women, who do have genuinely negatively feelings towards women, while also having genuine desires for connection and emotional fulfillment that they are processing through a deeply patriarchal worldview, which is constantly reaffirmed by their environment as the only real way to see the world and the only meaningful way to navigate their experiences.

Which is not to say that cis boys treating people they see as women as disposable sexual objects doesn't happen or doesn't matter. But the idea that if you have any more internal depth to how you view yourself and your relationship with sexuality in the privacy of your own mind, that makes you fundamentally different than all the cis boys who "just see women as fleshlights" obscures how this kind of behavior and perception of others actually arises.

Green sea turtles have been an iconic endangered species since the 1980s, mostly due to bycatch in fishing nets and taking adults and eggs for food. I have core childhood memories of watching Steve Irwin talk about sea turtle conservation in front of a beach full of nesting green sea turtles.

After 45 years of conservation efforts, their population now meets the IUCN criteria for Least Concern rather than Endangered.

For a species with such a slow life history (it takes green sea turtles decades to reach sexual maturity) and a nearly global population, this is a Really Big Deal. This is the kind of long term conservation victory that many of the amazing humans who started working on green sea turtle conservation back in the 80s didn't live to see.

Great news: she loved it. Super tasty apparently. Great success. Along with the kidney-sensitive treats we found, it was a nice way to supplement her diet. Unforseen long-term consequence though: she loved it so much she began demanding it throughout the day. Like, would come up to us and meow, and meow, and meow, and not stop, until we got up, went to the kitchen, and got her some cat drink.

And by doing so on demand, we have unfortunately created a monster: no matter what we are doing at home, Dozy knows that if she sits next to you and meows, 1) you know what she wants, and 2) you know that she will not stop until you get it for her now. And when you do get it, she gets extremely excited. She will bum rush the kitchen door as you enter. She will run around your feet as you open the can. She will let out the creakiest, crunchiest, most nails-on-the-chalkboard meow you've ever heard if she thinks you're not going fast enough.

I do not begrudge her this. It is gratifying to care for a creature whose most ardent desires are so simple that it is this easy to fulfill them. But I am a little sad, because I know in my heart that I have never loved any comestible as much as she loves this cat drink. She has a pleasure of a purity and intensity that I will never know.
