It’s not actually a good thing that some women feel pressured to get breast implants or that some men feel pressured to get ab implants. It’s not a good thing that gender roles are imposed so heavily and strictly that it leads people to hating their natural bodies for not fitting some standard, and makes them want to surgically alter their bodies. Why are we hand waving this away as “teehee it’s just gender affirming care which is always fine and good and wonderful and completely politically neutral!” Instead of analysing and criticising this?? Why are we being so intellectually lazy and wilfully ignorant?

what’s ironic is that many “terfs” (by the various definitions people use for that word, meaning feminist, female homosexual, etc. ) actually likely fought for rights that trans people benefit from. many of the lesbians who fought for and petitioned in court for gay marriage were likely “terfs”, and homosexual trans people benefit from that right. ofc that doesn’t make trans people beholden to agree with our assertions or beliefs, but still. the historical revisionism is crazy

I dont wanna hear about stonewall anymore its a real and meaningful event but the way people make up mythos about it and pretend like gay rights movements worldwide were started at a random (and apparently mediocre) american bar in the 1960s and that every homosexual has to be beholden to the mythos of whatever tiktok is claiming happened there today is just exhausting. Its exhausting, full of historically inaccurate myths by people, and just plain not relevant to homosexuals in 2026 especially the many homosexuals who are not american.
