all of these issues are caused by misogyny, and perpetuated by males.

i know it’s a difficult reality for most people to come to terms with, but these are the realities for hundreds of MILLIONS of women and girls around the world.

good news: IDs already have no gender markers!!!

IDs only have an M, for male, or an F, for female. this is your sex, which is immutable, and will remain the same from birth until death.

the small M or F on your ID does not state how you wear your hair, what pronouns you use, what type of clothing you wear, whether your favorite color is blue or pink, whether you identify as a woman or a man or nonbinary, whether you are masculine or feminine, whether you have or have not taken cross-sex-hormones, or whether you look more like a woman or a man. it is just your sex. an entirely neutral biological state of being, just a data point about which out of the 2 human sexes you are. that's all. means nothing else about you. just your sex.

Trans men and cis women have a lot in common with each other that neither have in common with you. That isn’t your fault, obviously, but when you act like solidarity between trans men and cis women is collusion against you and your very identity as a woman, it makes it seem like you view womanhood as a fun girl’s club you aren’t being included in. At best, anyway. At worst, it looks like you actively oppose female solidarity, which… is only just barely distinct from actively opposing feminism.

Trans men shouldn’t have to hold your hand when they talk about the oppression they face for being female. They shouldn’t have to think about your feelings when they complain about periods or pregnancy or menopause. They shouldn’t have to worry they’re ostracizing you when they talk about their own childhoods as female children.

I guess I wasn't aware that the taliban had also made it illegal for trans women to speak to each other, or go out in public without being covered from head to toe. I guess I didn't know that trans women are also more likely to die in car crashes even though they are significantly less likely to cause them. I guess I forgot that 12 states in the US have also banned abortion for trans women. And I must've forgotten, too, that the leading cause of death in pregnant trans women is homicide. I had no idea that 1 in 5 trans women were child brides, or that 5% of trans women are victims of female genital mutilation. Go figure. You are conflating transgender oppression with female oppression. Trans women are oppressed, but it's not for being female. That just isn't true, though. All intersex variations are classified as either male or female. Absolutely all of them. To say that, for example, ambiguous genitalia makes someone "less male" or "less female" than other individuals of their sex is intersexist. That is neither here nor there, though. Intersexism is absolutely an important topic of discussion, but it isn't what this post is about.

people act like that's really hard but its really not considering all you have to do is have female default when asking "what can we do to help these people" rather than male default. at least 50% of whatever group you're talking about is probably women. further: helping women will help the children too.

Like, back in the Old Days that would be a way that women would actually socialize.  So if a girl had a doll tea party, she was imitating her mom / other contemporary women.

But these days contemporary women don’t have tea parties. So now, the idea of “dolls having a tea party” is an echo of an extinct behavior, only repeated and referenced because it used to be so prevalent.
