[ID: an underexposed photo taken on a winter’s night, showing a pair of glowing eyes that resolve themselves, as you look closer, into a horse’s face, staring at you from behind a snowbank. Its ears are back and its head is up. Bare crooked branches cover the cloudy sky above. There is a sign nearby, in whimsical hand painted letters, that says, “CAUTION HORSES MAY BITE.” /end ID]
Yesterday the 12th of May was Fibromyalgia awareness day. I'm a little late uploading it, but spreading awareness is being done nonetheless. Lots of love for my chronic pain people!! <3
To all my fellow fibromyalgia sufferers, especially today, may your flare ups be minimal and may you find your small joys

Oh my god, I'm having to take some workplace training thing and it shows you a page of text and then there's a Next button, but if you click the next button before 60 seconds have passed, it tells you:
"To better understand the material, please spend more time on this page"
I am a very fast reader with ADHD! This just means I read the page and then spend the next 48 seconds fucking around in another window.
Amusingly the page I'm currently on is about respecting neurodiversity in the workplace.
I think I figured out why it works this way, and it's because of California state law. It says that employees must be given one hour of sexual harassment/abusive conduct prevention training every 2 years.
But it's just a bunch of text & images, so in theory an employee could read it all very quickly and be done in 20 minutes, which means they didn't get their one hour of training.
pocketing my delicious ooze
if i were a pompous self-assured and kind of stupid art student at some california university i would make a 9/11 tribute consisting of a handful of photographs depicting two erect, vertical dicks side-by-side (probably cut because all my friends would be cut (more of an unintended circumstance but i would spin it to seem meaningful)) and successive photos would depict one of the penises during ejaculation proceeding to one and then both flaccid. and i would have some bit about the semen representing the lives lost during the event. someone would inevitably ask if i was making a statement on masturbation or contraception and i, in my kind of stupidity, wouldn't have considered that angle. i would get really indignant and try to fabricate something clever, maybe like "obviously not because I produced this sexually explicit work" and it would haunt me for the duration of my college career. Years later after I had graduated and found employment as a creative director at Coca-Cola or Google, and after one of the aforementioned friends had died in a drunk driving accident and the other had been imprisoned on charges of possession with intent to sell, I would realize that i could have claimed it as a commentary on American society possessing a revulsion to pornography and homosexuality equivalent to our feelings on anti-American terrorism. Still not very good, but that's why I'm working for Coca-Cola or Google.

Full moon and flowers
Mourning rings (17th-18th centuries)
why is this post completely broken in every way imaginable
Broken notes… deactivated account… removed image….
Finally, we have them all.
In addition: OP’s name is just… gone. No “[insert username]-deactivated[insert a bunch of numbers]” as is the standard for deactivated blogs.
Just the world “deactivated.” Look upon their post, ye mighty, and despair.
It’ll be almost impossible to find this post unless it wanders across your dash.
It wandered across mine. I shall help it travel forward.
this is not a place of honor
Oh hey post of Ozymandius, good to see you again standing on your feet in a desert where no one remembers you
Here in town, we don't have a lot of castles. That's mostly because people weren't living here during the time when castles were "hip." Well, actually, lots of people were living here, but none of them knew about castles because the internet hadn't been invented yet. Nowadays, every toddler sees a YouTube video about their favourite Russian internet celebrity buying a castle, and it's all they can think about. Buy me a castle, daddy. Why don't I have a castle. All my friends have castles. And so on, with the castles.
That's why I see tired parents looking for affordable used castles at my realty agency every weekend. I have to be the one to tell them, which is hard on me, and possibly not great for my karma. Sorry, bro, your ancestors didn't get here for well over a thousand years past the best-before date on siege warfare, there's no way you can get your kid into even a tiny Norman battlement for $250k. Then they ask me: do you know any castle-building contractors? To this, I say... yes.
Now, modern castles are a lot different from your classic iron-age stuff. A lot of people complain that they don't look the same, but the divine right of kings (and even minor lords) did not offer a lot of room for the development of land use bylaws. If you built a full-size keep, or even a kinda shitty abbey, this close to the airport? The courts are gonna split you in half way before the property tax becomes due. Realistically, your new castle is going to look a lot like your standard single-family suburban home but with some parapets on it. Don't start with the drawbridge shit, okay? We've all heard it.
If you're willing to accept these restrictions, then I can hook you up with a guy. He might be my French-Canadian cousin, who has extremely strong opinions on anything that looks "too Roman," but I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find common ground with him. Plus, he'll trebuchet-test every house he makes. It's the only way to make sure that the Flemish don't come down there and start trying to steal your toddler's Peppa Pig tea set that she doesn't even play with anymore.
