it's very cool actually. it feels like the way little kids learn language, naturally through exposure and pattern recognition. i'm not confident In my IDs, because i can't back them up with evidence, but i don't need to be because i'm not doing anything with any stakes, like foraging or commenting to say what i think it is. nothing happens if im wrong

So, many years ago, I'd say about seven years ago, there were two neighbourcats. One of them insisted I throw her out of the back door when we were done having a visit. I did it one time in response to that "you can bowl a cat" bit that was in some comedian's act, and after that point, she *would not leave* unless I did it. So I did it. One day, I unfortunately did not see the second neighbourcat, and hurled highly territorial neighbourcat #1 at her, while she was exploring my back yard (neighbourcat #1's sovereign territory. ) Through many years, neighbourcat #1's demise, and neighbourcat #2's abandonment by her owners, neighbourcat#2 is now my cat. She has just about come to trust me, but if I'm ever doing *anything* that she can't immediately identify what I'm doing, and why, she immediately leaves the room, like I'm about to whip out a cat and hurl it at her.
