Not to mention that the current widespread use of the image, as the masculine ideal/chad, is very much in line with the white supremacist intentions for it. Like,, it is an image meant to represent the “aryan ideal”. People (nazi and non-nazi alike) are mainly using it in jokes where the premise is that it’s the ideal to strive for. They are using it in the exact same way, but because they “don’t have white supremacy in their hearts” or whatever, they think that the connotations of the symbolism they’re using don’t matter.
1. We really, really need to add the HEAVILY used terms "zios," "ethnostate," and "Jewish supremacy" to the list.
"Zios" was popularized by the KKK decades ago, to avoid regular people realizing they were talking about Jews.
It's been so heavily adopted by the pro-Palestine movement that now it's impossible to tell whether someone is alt-left or alt-right without digging through their posts.
"Ethnostate" is the white supremacist pipe dream. The term only started catching on during Trump's first term, about ten years ago.
An ethnostate is a country where only people of one ethnicity can get citizenship rights.
There are many, many countries on earth that are 85%-100% one ethnicity, for all kinds of reasons. Ireland, Japan, Saudi Arabia, etc are not ethnostates. Misusing the term waters it down and, again, makes it much harder to tell when someone is a Nazi.
"Jewish supremacy" is a core Nazi concept. Nazi propaganda has always relied on making people resent the Jews. One of their main tactics is to claim Jews think they're better than you.
In this case, people use the term explicitly because they're buying into the concept. It's terrifying.
2. OP started this thread five or six years ago, and has become an iconic illustration of why the effort to oppose white supremacy - much less end it - has fallen apart.
First, because it's only been done in concentrated bursts, not also in any kind of systemic way. Here: agree that all cops are bastards. Here: donate to support Black trans women. Here: don't use soyjack memes.
And second, because it completely overlooks what white supremacists actually say and do. We've fought how white supremacy impacts Black people primarily; sometimes, indigenous people; rarely, Asian people.
That's already a problem. But the biggest problem is that we've gone from forgetting that white supremacists hate Jews, to insisting that Jews are white supremacists. Or, worse, that they're "Jewish supremacists."
The ADL said hate crimes against Jews had gone up, so everyone condemned the ADL and told each other it was wrong or lying. Everyone claimed it was counting antizionism, and that it's impossible to be antisemitic when criticizing Israel.
Meanwhile, the FBI hate crimes tracker shows that Jews experience the second-most hate crimes in the United States, almost every single year.

for those not following along at home, China invaded Tibet and East Turkistan decades ago and has turned them into brutal surveillance states.
It's committing actual genocide in East Turkistan, aka the Xinjiang region in northwest China.
As in, it's put about three million Uyghurs there into concentration camps over less than a decade. Often sterilizing them - hell, often raping, torturing, and killing them. And it's now forced long-term birth control and outright sterilization onto so many Uyghurs that their birth rate is zero.
China has explicitly done all of this in the name not only of imperialism - there is a whole list of territories it considers "rightfully" part of China, and aims to take over like this - but also in the name of creating a China that is entirely Han Chinese.
So, yes: it is effectively trying to eliminate ethnic groups other than the Han.
China is busy using Uyghurs for forced labor, not killing them all. I think there are bigger problems than whether or not it qualifies as an ethnostate.
But the entire debate shows how fucking clueless this entire Western paternalist way of looking at the world is.
People are looking at the world with the ignorance white supremacy WANTS them to have. It WANTS us to be obsessed with the Jews. To be obsessed with constantly, loudly hating Israel.

Everything people say about it goes back to Nazi propaganda via Western ignorance. All of it dead-ends at the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a century-old hoax that Russia and France collaborated on.
Russia, because it needed to distract from killing hundreds of thousands of Jews. France, because it was trying to get the Arabs and the Christian indigenous groups of West Asia to be interested in a French-Arab empire, and the Jews were a really easy enemy to unite everyone against.
