about me:

i am a jew. im a third-gen american, ashkenazi (latvia, poland, russia, ukraine), my great grandparents survived the pogroms. was raised reform (but idk how id define myself. im more spiritual than religious). yes, i am a Zionist. Zionism is a Jewish movement for Jews. being a Zionist means i believe that the Jewish people (my people) have the right to self-determination and autonomy in our ancestral indigenous homeland (eretz yisrael). thats it. thats what i believe.

i am queer. i am bisexual, arospec, nonbinary, genderfluid, genderqueer, woman-ish, trans...... i am Nivrah Bein HaShmashot. my jewishness and my queerness are tied to one another. i prefer they/them pronouns and gender neutral or masculine language/words (im fine with stuff like "dude", "bro", but not "girl" or "babe/honey".) i will call myself gendered language sometimes but i would prefer if others didnt. in hebrew i use both masc and fem pronouns, prefer fem, but both are fine. DO NOT CALL ME "ENBY" I WILL SPACE LASER YOU

im disabled + mentally ill + neurodivergent (OCD, ADHD, MDD, GAD, dermatillomania, chronic migraine, GERD, undiagnosed chronic pain and fatigue but fingers crossed its figured out soon.) i only mention this because it is a portion of what i discuss on this blog. i am also a survivor of sexual assault and abuse.

i am currently an environmental biology major in college. i love science and nature and animals. i am doing independent research on antisemitism and jewish history. ive been writing my thoughts on my idea of "jewish liberation".

intersectional feminism is how feminism should be. feminism is for ALL women

gender is not binary. sex is not binary. nobody with decent education in human biology will argue sex is 100% binary. support intersex people.

Biphobia is a much bigger issue than you think. obviously, you can identify however you want, but some of the modern labels have biphobic origins. if you think bisexual as a label is exclusionary i invite you to read the 1990 bisexual manifesto.

i strongly disagree with a lot of "anti-psychiatry" takes. psychiatric drugs are the reason im alive right now. mental illness is not a social construct. its debilitating and when im depressed i am unable to think in my right mind.

I do not support self “diagnosis”. You can say you’re PRETTY SURE you have something but if you do not have the proper medical training you cannot actually do that. Yes, not everyone has access. That sucks. These things can coexist
